These days, The Thai Songkran Festival is being celebrated everywhere!

The Songkran Festival is the most grand festival of the year in Thailand, marking the beginning of the new year and symbolizing the care, love and bonding with family, society and religion. Songkran is also songkran, which represents the removal of all evil, misfortune and sin and the beginning of the new year with all goodness and purity. Songkran is as lively and festive as China's Spring Festival, when Thais usually celebrate by splashing water on each other, and "Songkran" is also derived from this.

During the Songkran Festival, families gather here to pay tribute to the elders in the family, and the younger ones ask the elders to sprinkle water on the palms of their hands to pray, and then, through the accumulation of virtue, contributing food to monks, piling sand stupas, sprinkling water to congratulate each other, feeling the harmony of society, caring for the public, protecting the environment, etc., it is helpful to the cleanliness of homes, monasteries and buildings.

The significance of the sprinkling of water in the middle of the festival lies in its process of cleansing and purifying—to purge all evil, misfortune and sin, and to start the new year with all goodness and purity. Water in this festival represents a process of purity and cleansing.
