Mr. Tao Xingzhi, a famous educator, once mentioned that "we must have an appreciative transformation." As a squad leader, I deeply feel that in the process of daily leading soldiers, we should also have more "appreciative transformations", be good at discovering the shining points and specialties of comrades-in-arms, especially for young comrades and individual comrades who have grown and progressed slowly, we need a little more patience, more encouragement, and resolutely do not abandon or give up, which will be more conducive to stimulating their determination and motivation to overcome difficulties and build meritorious military camps.
This process of understanding of mine also stems from the real experience of leading soldiers. In 2019, I served as the backbone of the new training team for the first time, full of energy, and everywhere I wanted to lead the whole class to compete for the first place. However, the recruit Xiao Li gave me the most headaches, his training results were "crane tail" in the class, and the next examination dragged his legs. To this end, I have criticized him less, and often give him "open a small stove", but the effect is not ideal. Even in the follow-up examination, he also found various excuses to escape from time to time.

However, when the new training entered the middle stage, I suddenly found that Xiao Li was like a changed person, with a positive training attitude and rapid growth. This surprised me. One night, I talked to him and asked him why the change had taken place.
Unexpectedly, Xiao Li admitted that his transformation was actually because of one of my praises. That time, our class and other classes carried out the handover of the sanitary area, of which the handover of one area that Xiao Li was responsible for cleaning was the smoothest. At the class meeting that day, I praised his high standards and seriousness by name. "Squad leader, when I hear the praise, my heart is particularly warm." Xiao Li said, "This is the first time I have been affirmed since I came to the barracks, and I suddenly feel that 'I can do it too.'" Before this, everyone always criticized me, and I was once very confused, feeling that I was incompatible with the military camp, and my heart had always been retreating..." It was from that praise that he regained his self-confidence and courage, took the initiative to start consolidating the strong and the weak, and raced against the clock every day to carry out additional training, so the progress was rapid.

Xiao Li's transformation made me happy for him at the same time, but also reflected on my previous methods. At that time, I was too eager to achieve success, and the way of leading the troops was simple and rude, although it was "hating iron is not steel", but ignoring "steel is refined, not hated out, rushed out", less true feelings for sincerity.
After that conversation, I became much gentler, no longer "kept a straight face", carefully observed the shining points of the comrades in the class, no longer skimped on my own praise, and put forward more targeted suggestions. After each training, the class was no longer quiet, but more joyful and laughing. At the end of the new training, Xiao Li was rated as an "excellent individual", and the recruit class I led was also rated as advanced.
It is human nature to want to be recognized, motivated and appreciated. As the saying goes, gold has no feet, and no one is perfect. If the soldier only looks at the shortcomings, it is difficult to pick out the perfect warrior; if you stare at the advantages, you can always find everyone's strengths and potential.

At present, another group of new comrades-in-arms have entered the camp, they are basically "post-00s", with outstanding personalities, more concerned about the sense of life experience, willing to show themselves, eager to be recognized. Everyone is a malleable talent, and I hope that the backbone of the leading soldiers can have more "appreciation of the transformation" of them, and sometimes, it is better to think more about what they looked like at the beginning of the "soldiers", their duties as the backbone of management, and the ardent expectations of their comrades-in-arms and relatives, they will calm down, figure out more effective education and training methods, and exchange their sincerity for their sincerity.
Of course, all new comrades-in-arms must not be frustrated when they are criticized; the starting point and foothold of criticism are all for the sake of army building and personal growth and progress, and their intentions are always good, as long as they let go of resistance and vigilance, face criticism with a correct attitude, and actively make corrections, I believe that in time, everyone can grow into a qualified soldier.
