Over the years, the number of military dramas focusing on military life is not in the minority, and a key reason is that it has become a springboard for the transformation of many young male actors with traffic. The strong and courageous image of the military helps to change the audience's impression of the traffic star "Cream", and also helps them change from "throwing boyfriends" into actors with stable appeal. Moreover, military dramas are the theme of "class main theme", which can make the personal image of stars appear more "positive energy".

However, it must be frankly said that many viewers can turn "Soldier Assault" over and over several times, but the idolized military dramas over the years have rarely been able to see the end from the beginning, and there is no work that can be called out of the circle, which can not be said to be a pity. Where the crux of the matter lies, it is worth a good review. The recently broadcast "Glory of Special Operations" starring Yang Yang has become an opportunity for us to observe.
Yan Shaoyue (played by Yang Yang)
Personally, I think that "Special Combat Glory" is a relatively high quality in the idol military drama. The first impression it gives is: careful, not confused.
The shooting cycle of "Special Battle Glory" is very long, up to 274 days (9 months), and there is 1 month of training before starting. The show has 45 episodes, and the filming cycle of a single episode is nearly 1 week. This is very rare in domestic dramas. I deliberately checked the shooting cycle of other idol military dramas in recent years, the number of episodes is similar, and the shooting time is only half of "Special Battle Glory", and even some are only one-third.
"Special Warfare Glory" has a long shooting cycle, in large part because there are many hardcore military action scenes in this drama. For example, the opening is a 10-minute Southeast Asian drug cave battle, action, gun battle, explosion, etc. are readily available, and the scheduling is also very methodical, which suddenly shocks the audience. Before you think it's going to hold on to a drama with this action scene, and then soon there's a wonderful confrontation with drug dealers, psychological warfare and gunfights, pulling the tension to the fullest.
Wonderful action scenes
In addition to the real gun battle scenes, various training and exercises in military life, "Glory of Special Operations" also spends a lot of time to present them, as close as possible to the real.
There are large pictures of the exercises
In short, "Special Combat Glory" does not put the main plot on love like other idolized military dramas - it is the most convenient to shoot in love; it honestly takes a more difficult road, and it is also a real military drama.
As an actor with traffic, willing to shoot a drama honestly for 10 months, this should be a duty, in internal entertainment is almost a luxury, Yang Yang's seriousness is worth affirming. His performance in the play has also improved. On the one hand, his image is tough. Many idolized military dramas will give people this feeling: the male protagonist just wears a military uniform, but the cream flavor is still very heavy, and he is always weak and can't help the wind. Yang Yang is much stronger, his body has been trained, and many of the training actions in the play he personally played, and the execution has a board and an eye.
Yang Yang didn't have that heavy creamy taste
On the other hand, although sometimes it is still a bit rigid and blunt, and the performance traces are very heavy, some key scenes can still be seen that Yang Yang has entered the play. It's not just tanned skin, it's also about unyielding eyes, sonorous cries, and emotional crying.
Some of the scenes are handled well
In terms of merits, the action scenes of "Special Battle Glory" are very eye-catching, and Yang Yang's handsomeness is very eye-catching. Its problem is that the male protagonist Yan Baoyue, played by Yang Yang, is really too eye-catching.
"Special Battle Glory" tells the story of the growth of a recruit. Yan Baoyue, who came from a military family, joined a detachment of the armed police in order to prove himself to his father. After that, he grew up in his military career and eventually became an excellent armed police special operator.
Unlike the "Soldier Assault" in which Xu Sanduo is a real "rookie", the recruits in the idol military drama are all "super strong soldier kings", they are strong and proud and dragged, and the series is essentially a "drag soldier growth record". Some netizens very accurately summarized the plot mode of the idolized military drama: "Recruit training, polishing the thorn head, talking about love, entering the selection, screening layer by layer, individualism, several exercises, and finally actual combat, cultivating positive results, love career double harvest." ”
Special Warfare Glory is much the same. As soon as he arrived at the recruit company, Yan Baoyue became the most eye-catching existence, breaking records in various trainings, and many skills were stronger than veterans; he had a flamboyant personality, dared to make a splash, dared to "fight against the order" (but the most important thing in the army was the implementation of discipline); he advocated individualism, believing that personal strength was the most important, and lacked the spirit of collectivism...
As soon as Yan Baoyue came up, he was all kinds of limelight
It's easy for viewers to guess where "Glory of Special Warfare" is: this lack of collectivist spirit of drag, slowly polishing the edges and corners in the barracks (such as being assigned to the cooking class at the beginning), removing impetuosity, and constantly entering the selection. He also slowly felt the power and value of collectivism, better fulfilled his responsibilities and mission as a soldier, and eventually became a good soldier.
Ai Qianxue, played by Li Yitong in "Special Battle Glory", has a lot of rival scenes with Yan Baoyue. The director gave the audience a preventive shot: they had no love, but they had a sympathetic camaraderie. But frankly speaking, deleting the emotional drama of the two people will not affect the advancement of the plot, and may appear more real and condensed.
Ai Qianxue (played by Li Yitong)
This is where people wonder: why are idolized military dramas invariably "soldier kings" and "drag kings"?
In the final analysis, idolized military dramas have not really got rid of "idolization" after all. For the setting of the male protagonist, even if the role is a "newcomer", it must be a newcomer who is cool and cool, and the appearance is destined to shine, and it will not be the grass roots of the three who are dirty and vulgar and "stupid" when they appear.
It is not that this model is not possible, but if the idol military dramas are all in this mode, the audience will inevitably feel aesthetic fatigue. The audience's sense of substitution has also declined - after all, in real life, many newcomers are "three more" who have nothing, rather than being born "dragging the king".
Drag it, but once you drag it too much, it will weaken the credibility of the series. "Special Battle Glory" is not afraid of Yan Breaking Yue's eye-catching, afraid that his eye-catching will overshadow logic and common sense, and become a "Dragon Pride"-like existence.
The plot of "Special Warfare Glory" reveals such a tendency. For example, Yan Baoyue mistakenly entered the exercise of another company, and as a newcomer, he actually directly attacked the Blue Fang Headquarters and captured the Headquarters, resulting in the failure of the Blue Fang Operation. A friend of the soldiers told me that the command headquarters was easily destroyed, which is completely unimaginable in the real exercise. If it is a real war, how can such an army have combat effectiveness? In order to highlight Yan Shaoyue's bull fork, "Special Battle Glory" shot this kind of bizarre plot in a big way.
Yan Baoyue directly pounded the blue party headquarters, and the red side won
After the plot, Yan Baoyue is still in a state of open hanging. Practicing shooting with a slingshot, soon the shooting technique was first-class; in the actual combat exercise of the recruits, he broke the record of the whole regiment again; at first he did not know how to cook at all, the cooking class taught him to make tofu, he became a cooking god, braised tofu was his special dish, but also became the victory of the special service company, the recruits had to eat braised tofu (this section really blinded me); when the tunnel collapsed, he bravely retrograde to save people, at the beginning he was still self-interested, only a few episodes later, he became a big hero who sacrificed himself...
Yan Broke Yue's record
All kinds of protagonist auras are worn on Yan Baoyue's head, and everything learned is a learning, and what to do is the first. The plot after that also lost its suspense. Yan Baoyue will definitely encounter all kinds of small setbacks, but it doesn't matter, he will hang to the end.
The military drama of the "Soldier Assault" era is a "poor child" mode, the protagonist is an ordinary person, each group portrait is brilliantly written (the comradeship should also be the focus of the performance of the military drama), and every ordinary audience can substitute for it; it also has the aura of the protagonist, but the protagonist is relying on his courage, endurance, and persistence to win the aura, rather than being born strong. What the audience sees is military life, but also the life of ordinary people who break through in adversity.
In contrast, the idolized military drama seems to fall into a common trap: the protagonist is "idolized" - the soldier is worthy of becoming an idol, but it does not mean that the protagonist in the army must also be like an "idol" all the time, always in the dazzling, all the time not by the stars and the moon. Therefore, idolized military dramas almost do not do well in group portrait dramas - group portraits exist more to flatter male protagonists, and sometimes even only functional characters.
"Special Battle Glory" was filmed very carefully, but it is only a relatively good work in the framework of idolized military dramas, and it has not exceeded the framework.
