On April 11, Beijing time, 18-year-old Serbian talent forward Nikola Jovic has submitted documents to the NBA office to qualify himself for the 2022 NBA Draft. Jovic's agent, Misko Raznatović, confirmed the news.
Jovic, who is at No. 23 on ESPN's Top 100 Rookie List this year, has averaged 11.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in europa leagues this season. He made his national team debut in February in a World Cup qualifier against Slovakia, contributing 13 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
Jovic, who is 2.08 metres tall, helped serbian youth team finish fourth in the FIBA Under-19 World Cup, when he was named in the cup's best squad, along with the top five rookies of the class of 2022, Homegren and Ive.
Jovic was born in England, where his father, Ilya, played basketball. He played water polo as a child and switched to basketball as a teenager. In March 2021, he averaged 29.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.8 blocks in the league in Belgrade, helping the team win the championship and performing very impressively.
