2018 marks the tenth anniversary of my retirement and my first year of entering the year of "ancient rarity". This year was a bit strange, god sent a ghost, I was fascinated by two things: one is the gathering of comrades-in-arms, and the other is to travel abroad.
In the eyes of my family, if I don't do these two things, it's as if I can't live this year.
Let's start with the first thing. I tried my best to facilitate a gathering of old comrades from 35 years ago, one or two hundred people, this is a "friendship conference". Over the past 35 years, comrades-in-arms have traveled from all over the world, most of them are people in their sixties and seventies, and they have seen each other less than once. There are also people who prefer to see each other more than once. There is no need to raise the bar, each has its own reason. With 21 years of military experience, I served as a grassroots company instructor for three years, which is indeed the most arduous, difficult, most rewarding and most storyful experience in my military career, so what I most want to meet are also those company comrades who have fought side by side with me.
Let's talk about traveling to five European countries, especially Paris. Paris is a cultural capital in my heart, and the famous books and authors such as "Notre Dame de Paris", "Les Misérables", "Confessions", "Comedy of Man" and so on that I love to read are related to the city. After reading most of my life, if I don't go to Paris, it's like owing an account. Besides, I have been mixed for most of my life, but I have never gone abroad, and if I don't go to the scenery, I really can't stand this "mixed" word.
All kinds of ideas are mixed together, brewing and fermenting a stubborn and stubborn "rhetoric": if you don't get together, you won't have a chance! If you don't go abroad, you won't have a chance! Big sometimes I don't wait, can't wait, can't wait, after this village, there is no feeling of this shop. That year was obviously the time when activities such as comrades-in-arms gatherings and overseas travel were in the ascendant, and there was no sign of "passing through this village", but, inexplicably, I forced my wrist open with the "appearance" at that time and pulled open the hard bow!
For a while, I always soaked in the phone, and repeatedly discussed with the comrades of the preparatory group the details of all aspects of the comrades-in-arms gathering, interjecting or tirelessly rambling the set of words: If you don't get together again, you won't have a chance, and after this village, there will be no shop! Ah, the appeal of this sentence really worked, perhaps many people are thinking like this, so, a hundred responses, hula, comrades-in-arms began a long-lost assembly, from all sides of the motherland to the original station. The work of the preparatory group was quite outstanding, and there were even comrades in other companies who came to the stage to catch up with the excitement. On April 22, 2018, the party was successfully held in a certain place in Hunan, where the red blossoms of Yingshan Mountain, and the comrades-in-arms were reunited after a long absence, singing and dancing, and everyone was happy. It made me feel so relieved, physically and mentally relaxed, very happy.
However, going abroad was firmly opposed by my wife. She was afraid of my set of "words", what "no more chances", what "after this village, there is no such shop", ominous omens. When people reach old age, they become more and more suspicious of gods and ghosts. She was also afraid of flying, and whenever she went out on a plane, she always had nightmares. This makes me scratch my head and go to great lengths. I first concealed her passport, and then entrusted my friends who had "three inches of uncorrupted tongue" to take turns to do the work, focusing on telling her about the absolute reliability of large aircraft. She finally agreed to join me. On the day of departure, I wrote an article "About to board the plane, fly to Paris" in the waiting room of Jinan Yaoqiang Airport, which was published on the public account of the day. After 21 days, we returned home with a full load and returned to Jining safely and smoothly.
The two wishes were finally fulfilled, which is thankful, but it is also a fluke. If you get together, you will get together, and now it is not allowed to reunite; if you go abroad, you will go out, and I am afraid that there will be no way to go to Europe again. Think about it, three years ago, where would people know about the current nightmare variables of the epidemic and war and sanctions? This also covers my set of "words" with a slur.
