On April 11, Volkswagen Imported Motor announced the official listing of Arteon Shooting Brake R-Line (Arteon SR) for 348,000 yuan. As a German imported version of the domestic Volkswagen CC hunting car, Arteon SR canceled the crossover kit and switched to the R-Line sports kit, which was slightly different in style.
In terms of styling, Arteon SR inherits the name of Shooting Brake hunting, the body line extends to the rear of the car and merges with the spoiler, the vehicle posture is more low-pitched, compared to the CC hunting car with cross-border styling, Arteon SR is equipped with R-Line style sports kit, with Phantom Blue exclusive paint and 19-inch rims, it looks sporty.
It is worth mentioning that the storage space of the trunk can be adjusted between 590-1632 liters, and with the induction opening and closing function of the tailgate, it is more convenient to pick up and place luggage.
Coming to the interior, the Arteon SR is not much different from the CC Hunter, and the interior of the new car is equipped with R-Line interior components, including nappa leather sports seats with the R logo (exclusive to the imported version). The full LCD meter, HUD head-up display and CNS 3.0 intelligent car navigation infotainment system (9.2-inch touch color screen) are all equipped on the new car to achieve three-screen interconnection interaction.
In terms of configuration, it includes front seats with 14-way electric adjustment, multi-function leather sports steering wheel (with paddle shifter), keyless entry one-button start system, three-zone independent temperature-controlled automatic air conditioning, wireless charging of mobile phones, 30-color indoor mood lights, HARMAN Carlton brand audio and other rich configurations.
In the power part, the Arteon SR is equipped with a 2.0TSI engine, with a maximum power of 140 kW and a peak torque of 320 N·m. Transmission section, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. In addition, the new car is equipped with XDS electronic differential lock, Travel Assist full-journey driver assistance system, ACC adaptive cruise, pre-collision safety system and multiple collision prevention system.
According to the EasyCar App, FAW-Volkswagen CC ranks 20th in mid-size car sales. As a niche model, the monthly sales of about 1500 vehicles are decent. Although this sales figure includes two models, the CC sedan and the hunting version, it can still reflect people's recognition of the Volkswagen CC to a certain extent. It is believed that the introduction of the original arteon SR equipped with R-Line appearance kit is expected to harvest better market sales than Weilan.
