The overall planning layout incorporates the North Wing City and the Great Wall Cultural Industrial Park into the unified design, so that the entire Jiaoshan area and Shanhaiguan City are connected as a whole, and a comprehensive cultural and tourism system is constructed. The museum building plays a role in the flow of the tour.
The museum building and the entrance of Jiaoshan Park are planned and designed in a unified manner, making full use of the original environment to design the garden landscape, and using the original facilities to design the outdoor parking lot. The original road system was remodeled to ensure smooth traffic in the museum area and the ring access to the fire escape.

"Tibet" + "Fusion"
The design stems from the study of the history, culture and architecture of the Great Wall. The Great Wall is a comprehensive system of integration of the city and the city, which undertakes the mission of defense function and cultural exchange and integration. The building is integrated into the Great Wall Guancheng system in the form of a "city", dissolving the building volume, making it a member of the Shanhaiguan Great Wall system and unifying with the historical context of Shanhaiguan. It has become a continuation of the entire Great Wall architectural system and the Shanhaiguan Great Wall and the cultural context of the city.

The main body of the building is symmetrical and horizontally extended, and the connection between Jiaoshan Mountain and Shanhaiguan City establishes a time-space connection between the entire mountain and the sea, highlighting the towering mountain and the grandeur of the Great Wall, reflecting the concept of the unity of heaven and man in traditional Chinese architectural culture.
