The product is said to use "a microLED display the size of a gravel", while the battery will be located in the sclera lens, so as to achieve intelligent wearing function, and even can not affect the original vision correction function of contact lenses.
It seems that because of its small size, the display functions it can support are not "immersive experiences", but provide critical data when user engagement requires attention. Mojo Vision says that with these AR glasses, users can see the trails on the ski slope, the pace of the last mile of a run, or the talking points of the presentation, "all without the need for a handheld device or looking down at the screen."
Although it does not seem complicated, if we look closely at its hardware and system experience, we will still find many doubts about this product, such as its eye tracking interaction form, charging method and even the details of battery life, MojoLens has not been made public; and in some published prototype images, we can also see that its volume is actually very different from that of ordinary contact lenses.
At present, regarding the development progress of this product, Mojo Vision said that they have completed the development of the prototype in 2022, and perhaps we will see this product in 202X.
Although this product does not look so reliable, practicality also needs to be further developed, but as a cool wearable digital hardware, if it can really be successfully launched, I believe it will still attract the attention of many netizens.
