Although the performance of Samsung folding screen devices in terms of photos and videos is also at the mainstream level, from the hardware level, they are not equipped with top flagship modules.
The latest Galaxy S22 Ultra is equipped with a 108MP main camera and a 10x periscope zoom lens, while the Galaxy Z Fold 3 only uses three 12MP lenses to form an image module, you know, Samsung's last mobile phone with three 12MP lens modules is still S10, it has been a few years.
It is also understandable that Samsung does not use higher-spec image modules on folding screen devices. After all, the folding screen model needs to consider the thickness of the two sides after the unfolding, and at the same time needs to achieve a balance on the weight of the whole machine. But on the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 4 model, Samsung may have found a way out of this puzzle.
According to GalaxyClub, Samsung will give the Galaxy Z Fold 4 a better zoom performance by using the same telephoto modules as the Galaxy S22 and S22+ phones. It consists of a new 1/3.94-inch 10MP sensor and a 69mm focal length lens capable of delivering a 3x zoom range, which is an improvement over the 2x telephoto on the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
In addition, the galaxy S22 and S22+ front cameras may also be adopted by the Galaxy Z Fold 4 series, but it will still be 10MP, and it is mentioned that Samsung has abandoned the use of a screen camera on the Galaxy Z Fold 4. If Samsung has enough courage or optimizes the system structure, the 50MP main camera and 12MP ultra-wide angle lens on the S22 image module can appear on the Galaxy Z Fold 4, and in many reviews, they have shown leading imaging results.
