Karen State news, on the afternoon of April 4, the police post in and around the village of Dangjiayin in Kaojali Town was conquered by the combined forces of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA). Officers stationed at police posts, more than 20 soldiers stationed at schools next to police posts, and soldiers of the Karen Border Guard (BGF) stationed in nearby positions fled the posts.

At noon on April 4, the KNLA coalition forces attacked police posts. In the afternoon, the post was conquered and some guns and ammunition of the military police were confiscated. At present, it is not clear what the casualties on both sides are. However, people familiar with the matter revealed that 1 police officer and 1 soldier were missing.

In addition, at noon on 4 April, fierce fighting broke out on the Kaojali-Myawady Asian Highway in Kayin State, with a number of vehicles caught on fire and burned. The casualties of the fighting are unclear.

At around 1 p.m. on April 4, the Myanmar People's Liberation Army (BPLA) released information that the BPLA and KNLA had jointly attacked military forces and the Karen Border Guard (BGF), killing seven military personnel and capturing some ammunition.
