The underground garage is open for trial operation
The public civil air defense project in the north square of Zimaling Park, which is implemented by the Municipal Construction Project Management Office, has a construction area of 14,276 square meters, and the main construction content is the underground civil air defense garage, with a total of 390 parking spaces, which are used as public parking lots in peacetime and as personnel shelters in wartime. The underground garage is connected to the upper part through the stair entrance, and visitors can directly reach the ground of the North Square of Zimaling Park after parking.
Due to the construction needs of underground civil air defense projects, the Municipal Project Management Office demolished the original landscape and sculptures in the north square area on the garage floor and re-integrated the design. The purple horse benton sculpture in the center of the site was reconstructed as it was, the water feature at the entrance to the central axis of the site was changed to a polygonal lawn, and the original aquatic zoo in the south of the site was demolished and replaced by a recreational sparse forest grass slope. In addition, new facilities such as viewing gallery frames, stone benches, and rest wooden platforms have been added to further enrich the functions of the venue and meet the needs of tourists to interact and rest.
With the completion of the transformation of the ground part of the north square of Zimaling Park, the civil air defense garage has been open to use. During the trial opening period, the daily opening hours are the same as the opening and closing hours of Zimaling Park (5:30-22:30), and visitor vehicles can enter and exit the underground garage through the road on the east side of the North Plaza. Charging of electric vehicles is not available in the garage.
