A few years ago, Dyson announced a patent for a new technology that showed that it was developing a headset that could not only listen to songs, but also be an air purifier.
And now, Dyson has turned it into a reality.

Just recently, Dyson's first wearable air purification headset was officially unveiled, called TheOn Zone.
First of all, this is a Bluetooth noise cancelling headset.
The exterior design continues Dyson's usual minimalist style, and the combination of blue and silver gray also retains its classic elements.
Also, the headband is equipped with three cushions, the middle of which is slightly curved like a saddle, allowing the wearer to be comfortable and evenly distributed in weight.
At the same time, the headphones also have three active noise cancellation modes, which are isolated, dialogue and transparent.
Isolation mode has the highest level of noise reduction, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in your music. And when you want to chat with a friend, you can start the conversation mode, which, as the name suggests, can hear each other's voices clearly. In transparent mode, the sound reduction effect is appropriately reduced, allowing certain sounds around you to pass through, making you safer when walking and wearing.
Of course, that's not all. Its biggest highlight is the air purification function.
Inside the left and right earcups of the headphones, equipped with Dyson's smallest motor and compressor ever built, as well as electrostatic filters and activated carbon filters, similar to the technical principles of Dyson purifiers, the surrounding air can be sucked in and purified.
Electrostatic filters are said to capture 99% of PM0.1 fine particulate matter such as indoor dust, pollen and bacteria by charging. Activated carbon filters, on the other hand, trap gases such as nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide and ozone.
The purified air is then transported from left to right around your nose and mouth through a protective shield.
It is worth mentioning that the protective cover is connected to the headset by a magnetic system, so it can be freely disassembled and installed. In addition, there are two hinges that allow you to adjust the angle of wearing.
There are four air purification modes, which are low-range, mid-range, high-end and automatic.
Different modes are suitable for different breathing, such as when exercising or climbing stairs, you can choose to be high-grade to increase the purification of the air. If it is a walk, it is enough to choose the low-middle gear. The automatic mode, on the other hand, can be switched between different gears as needed.
At full power, it can operate for about 40 hours. In addition, the activated carbon filter can be replaced by itself.

Finally, it took Dyson about 6 years to develop this headset, and after making more than 500 prototypes, it finalized the current design.
Tests were carried out using medical-grade artificial lung and respiratory mannequins, and in the laboratory, air pollution levels around the nose and mouth were measured, and filtration achieved effectiveness. It even simulates a windy environment.
However, because the protective cover and face are not close to the face and cannot prevent splashing, Dyson also offers FFP2-compliant covering accessories in the box. Includes a face shield attachment that creates a mask-like sealing effect.
At the same time, Dyson has also launched a companion application that can detect the air quality of the surrounding environment in real time.
At present, the final price of the headphones has not been announced, and it will be officially listed in August this year.
