The greatest happiness of middle-aged people: money in the pocket, love at home, no worries at night

Happiness is not to think too much.

Carnegie said:

Happiness is not dependent on who you are or what you have, it depends only on what you want.

People run all their lives and are always on the road to happiness.

In middle age, after experiencing the baptism and precipitation of the years, I found that happiness is no longer asking for it from the outside, but seeking it inward.

In the second half of life, the greatest happiness is: there is money in the pocket, there is love at home, and there is no worry at night.

1

There's money in your pocket

In the program "Let's Talk", Yi Zhongtian said such a story.

One of his brothers was in class when he suddenly fell on the podium and died in the line of duty.

When Yi Zhongtian helped him organize his funeral, he found that there was nothing in his house.

As soon as you enter the house, there is not a single decent piece of furniture in the room.

When the widow of the master brother entertained them, he could only hold out a small bench the size of a palm.

This incident made Yi Zhongtian feel greatly stimulated, and he made up his mind:

"I want to make money, I don't want to live that kind of life!"

In an uncertain world, you never know how many people are struggling in the mire of poverty.

Dai Jianye, who lives a simple life and yearns for Tao Yuanming's life, abandoned the proud literati style when his wife was diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer and ran around for money.

Dou Wentao, who prides himself on being high and only shoots high-quality programs, put down the face of half his life after his mother lived in the ICU, and took over the commercial performance that he had rejected.

When a person is really short of money, he knows that the days without money are like wearing shackles, and every step is very difficult.

When you step out of society and start a family, you will find:

It turns out that the price of grain and vegetables is so expensive;

It turns out that it costs so much money for children to go to school;

It turns out that a serious illness is enough to drag down the whole family...

For middle-aged people who have no money, a grain of rice and a vegetable are a big mountain.

Maugham once said:

Of course, man pursues not all wealth, but at least a life sufficient to maintain dignity, to be able to work unimpeded, to be generous, to be cheerful, to be independent.

Because you have money, you can have more choices, in order to withstand the difficulties of life and withstand the tests of the world.

Only if you have enough generosity on hand can you have enough confidence in life.

People find out in middle age that having money in their pockets is a person's greatest dignity and the biggest confidence of a family.

There is love in the house

I've heard a story like this:

A person packs his bags at a young age and leaves home to find his own happiness.

However, after half a lifetime of pursuit, I have traveled all over the country and the north and south, and I have not seen any trace of happiness.

Just when he was discouraged, an old man told him:

"You go home now, and on the way someone will come to pick you up in clothes and shoes, and that's the happiness you're looking for."

So he began to set off for home, paying close attention to the man the old man had spoken of.

Many days passed, and it seemed that they were about to arrive home, and the person never appeared.

He was anxious and angry, on the one hand, he was worried that he would not meet the person, and on the other hand, he was also annoyed that the old man had deceived himself.

By the time he got home, it was late at night, and he could only helplessly raise his hand and knock on the door.

His mother, desperate to know if her son had returned, hurriedly grabbed her clothes and draped them over her body, and even before the lights could be lit, she went to open the door, and in a panic even put her shoes on backwards.

Seeing his mother's embarrassed look, he couldn't help but burst into tears and had an epiphany in his heart.

It turned out that the happiness he wanted to pursue was not far away, but hidden at home.

The poet Moore said:

"A man who, in search of what he needs, travels all over the world, returns home, and finds it."

In this life, the greatest sense of security is that there are people in the family, etc., and the best happiness is nothing more than having someone in the family to love.

No matter how cold the world is, as long as there is love in the family and someone treats you affectionately, the years will be gentle.

Dong Qing said such a sentence in "Readers":

Home is a word with temperature. It is not only a place for our bodies to rest, but also a harbor for our souls to dock.

With home, the flesh has a home; with love, the soul rests.

When people reach middle age, they abandon those young impetuosity and fantasies, and begin to look for inner harmony and soul settlement.

The so-called happiness is no longer to satisfy unattainable desires, but to accumulate with the family day after day, one meal and one vegetable.

No worries at night

In the Qing Dynasty novel "Mirror Flower Edge", there is such a story.

There is a country called Bo Wei, where the people never sleep.

Because they are always worried that they will not wake up and give their lives.

Although every family here has a bed tent, there is no pillow quilt, and they can only rest with their eyes open, but they dare not close their eyes to sleep.

Even at night, I had to keep my eyes open, afraid that if I accidentally fell asleep, I would die.

So they stayed up groggy every day, their eyes could not look directly, and they walked crookedly.

In our opinion, the Bo people are too stupid, but if we think about it carefully, how can we not be the actual Bo Shu people?

In life, I constantly carry myself the burden of thought, and I am depressed for some small things:

I had an awkward fight with my friends for many years, and I couldn't sleep when I turned over;

Work is blamed by the leader, always worried about the risk of unemployment;

Every day when you wake up, it is mortgage, water and electricity, insurance, as if you can never save money, sleepless night...

In the adult world, you have to put on the mask of optimism during the day and pile up loneliness and grievances into the night.

I don't know who stipulates that people must pretend to be mature when they reach middle age, and even if they collapse, they must arrange the time in advance.

During the day, the grievances suffered did not dare to vent, but they had to be left until night to regurgitate again.

However, if you want to be happy, you must first put down useless worries, forget about the disturbing things, have no distractions, and sleep in peace.

Feng Tang wrote in The Growth of All Things:

"I don't think much about it, and I'm happy." In other words, happiness is not thinking too much. ”

The greatest happiness of middle-aged people is actually less worrying, not thinking more, not internal friction, and being able to sleep well every night.

Liang Shiqiu wrote in "Life is Just Like That":

The fun of middle age is to know life quite well, to know yourself, so as to do what you can do and enjoy the life you can enjoy.

People's happiness is given by themselves, especially middle-aged people.

For the first half of our lives, we were all in a hurry and missed too much scenery.

In the second half of life, may we all be calm, able to grasp the confidence, hold the feelings, and let go of the worries.

Give it a thumbs up, enjoy the existing life, and live a happy life.
