In this small county in the old revolutionary area, the party and the government immediately gathered tens of thousands of migrant workers, living in simple work sheds, eating coarse grain that did not have enough bellies, including men and women, and energetic girls, who were organized into regiments, companies, platoons, and squads, militarized, and were under the leadership of the General Engineering Headquarters. Among them, the most active is the Sixth Regiment of Migrant Workers of Chengguan Commune, and the most eye-catching of the Sixth Regiment is a "Commando Team of Eight Sisters and Nine Sisters". They are: Gong Fenxiang, Pei Zhuanlian, Wang Gaifen, Zhang Fanmei, Lu Suzhen, Zhao Xiangying, Zhang Zhimei, Wang Yuxian, Qiao Qiaohua, Chang Chuanxian, Qiao Zhiying, Niu Lanxiang, Pei Chan'e, Zhao Lanxiang, Pei Eryou, Wu Jinchan, Hao Lanxiang. Seventeen young girls from 12 villages, many of whom are members of the Komsomol, are full of energy, high morale, and determination to do a big job, compete with men, fight with the boys, and swear that women will beat men! They signed up to form commandos and asked the war to do the hardest work. At that time, the engineering equipment was very backward, there was no machinery, all relying on manpower labor, shovels loaded with soil, small flat car transportation, and the pulling car work was the most bitter, not only downhill, but also to turn, the road is a deep ditch, both power and danger. They chose the task of pulling a flat car to the battlefield.
When they first pulled the car, their waist and legs were sore, their whole body was like a rack, their whole body was soaked with sweat, in the middle of winter, the top of their heads was steaming, their clothes were hanging on ice armor, their feet were grinding blood bubbles, the tense labor and dangerous road made them dare not be distracted, so they went on a trip, 12 hours a day, day after day, no rest day, non-stop pulling, all the time sweating... Labor competitions were held on the construction site, red flags were displayed, and slogans shook the sky, constituting a unique labor scene of the people's sea tactics in the early days of liberation. The headquarters set up a "mobile red flag", tens of thousands of active laborers competed, there were strong laborers trained in the crops, there were young men with strong flesh and blood, but the mobile red flag was seized by the commando team of eight sisters and nine sisters! The whole construction site is in an uproar, and the boys are not as good as the girls? Tens of thousands of elite soldiers competed for the red flag, and the Jinshan construction site was in a hurry. The girls were more determined, and vowed in the face of the red flag: "If you can't repair the reservoir, you won't go home, and if you can't repair the reservoir, you won't get married!" ”
It is not easy to fight for the red flag, and it is even more difficult to protect the red flag. Through a period of exercise, they have stamina in physical strength, find a trick in labor, pull the car downhill without stepping away, pull up the "flying car", turn the direction at the bend, the work efficiency is increased by three or four times, the girls have become flying car experts, Lu Suzhen flew the fastest, known as "grass flying" by migrant workers. The girls' super-intensive labor exceeded their objective physiological endurance, and they suffered from the same disease: chest tightness, urinary incontinence, and abnormal blood veins. They not only did not flinch, but also encouraged each other: "Minor injuries can not reach the line of fire, serious injuries do not cry!" "Let the mobile red flag fly forever in the commando!" Their motivation is greater, with their enthusiasm, and with the same strong labor force as the whole site. At that time, the "beating" labor competition was carried out, the construction site was put on the stage, the results were counted on the spot, no one wanted to fall behind, people were really revolutionary and desperate labor, the girls forgot their labor like crazy, and every time they beat the championship among tens of thousands of people, it was really a miracle! A few times the girls pulled the car and ran and vomited blood, peed in their pants, and the regimental commander Liang Zhaoyun let them rest, they not only did not rest, but also did not let them disclose their vomiting blood, afraid of making the men laugh, afraid of losing the red flag. Where does the motivation come from? During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, she created the daughter of Zhangyuan with her enthusiastic life, and in the era of building socialism, she created the haijinshan spirit of selfless dedication and hard work! Their exemplary deeds were publicized in county, regional, and provincial newspapers and periodicals, and Gong Fenxiang and 6 other people joined the party in the line of fire, and they were rated as model workers at all levels, and in 1960 they were commended by the State Council issued by Premier Zhou Enlai!
After the completion of the Haijinshan Reservoir, which took 13 months, the girls returned to their respective homes, they were not complacent with the honor of Haijinshan, and they began new labor in their respective hometowns, and many of them served as the directors of the village women's federation and the women's captains. Four people have died prematurely from vomiting blood injuries, and others have passed on their spirit to future generations in ordinary lives.
