According to French media reports, Arsenal are interested in Rennes' 17-year-old midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu.
The Team newspaper reported that Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund were all interested in bringing in Ugoshuku from Rennes.
The 17-year-old has made his senior debut and made 20 appearances, including a substitute in the European Cup draw with Tottenham Hotspur at the start of the season.
He has suffered a recent setback, missing nearly two months of playing with an ankle injury.
The youngster has now returned from injury and made his start last Thursday's U18 match against Germany in France, contributing an assist.
Arsenal have allegedly been following Ugoshuku over the past few weeks and are increasingly convinced they can sign him in the summer window.
However, the player's contract does not expire until 2024, so Rennes still has the future of the player in his hands.
According to reports, Arsenal could offer Rashford the opportunity to "escape" Old Trafford and Manchester United this summer.
