Recently, the Miguel A. Esteban Research Group of the Guangzhou Institute of Biomedicine and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has developed a non-GMO, rapid and controllable reprogramming method to induce human pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) into totipotent 8-cell stage embryonic-like cells (8CLCs). Using single-cell sequencing techniques, the researchers analyzed and determined the high similarity between 8CLC and human 8-cell stage embryos, depicted key molecular events and gene regulation networks in the transformation process, and further evaluated the differentiation ability of 8CLC. ●Recently, the intelligent and biomechanical team of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Tsinghua University and the team of the Beijing Institute of Nanoenergy and Systems of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have developed a novel lip interpretation system. The system consists of a low-cost, self-powered flexible triboelectric sensor and a deep learning model based on prototype learning. Sensors transmit electrical signals from lip muscle movements to a decoding system, translating them into a communicative language. The pharmaceutical team of Liu Qingsong of the Hefei Institute of Physical Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences found that the self-developed compound CHMFL-26 can inhibit the growth of HER2-positive tumor cells and overcome a variety of HER2 mutation resistance.
