Recently, the US media HopsHype organized 52 retired and active NBA players to vote on the topic.

Unsurprisingly, the people who led the GOAT debate were also considered the most influential, with Michael Jordan scoring the highest score of 73.58%. LeBron James is in second place, though he has fewer than half of Jordan's votes, at just 37.69 percent of the total.

Normally, Bryant would be considered third, but in this particular poll he was eliminated by Alan Iverson. Iverson changed the culture of the NBA. "Iverson's corn ear, tattoo and dress style brought hip-hop culture into the game of basketball," a former NBA player and current assistant coach told HoopsHype.
