Chunlan Cup is the first world professional competition funded by Chunlan (Group) Company, a Chinese mainland enterprise, in 1998, which has been held for more than 20 years and is one of the major cups of world professional Go that are still being held. The game adopts the rules of Chinese Go, with black square stickers 3 and 3/4 subs, 3.5 hours per side, 5 times 1 minute reading. The prize money for the winner is $150,000, the runner-up is $50,000, and the final four is $20,000. Previously, Chinese players won the championship 5 times, South Korea 7 times and Japan 1 time.
