Recently, a number of domestic new energy vehicle companies announced price increases, and unlike other models that directly announced the price increase range, lantu automobile did not directly explain "how much", only explained the price increase time.
Lantu Automobile is a high-end intelligent new energy brand under Dongfeng Motor, founded in 2018. The first model, the Landu FREE, was officially delivered in August 2021, with a total of 6,791 units delivered in 2021, with an average transaction price of more than 338,000. In January 2022, the 10,000th Landu FREE officially rolled off the production line.
At present, Lantu Automobile has only one SUV for sale, Lantu FREE, with a price range of 313,600-36.36 million yuan, and the power system provides an extended range version and a pure electric version.
Although the Lantu did not directly give a specific price adjustment range, according to the price adjustment experience of other car companies, the Lantu FREE extended range version model equipped with a 33kWh battery is expected to be raised by 10,000-20,000 yuan. The Landu FREE pure electric model equipped with an 88kWh battery is expected to be raised by about 30,000 yuan.
In recent months, the upstream materials required for lithium batteries in new energy vehicles - lithium, nickel and cobalt and other metals have soared, resulting in a general increase in the battery cost of new energy vehicles by more than 30%, and some models have exceeded 50%, so the new energy vehicle market has also borne great pressure, and car companies have finally had to transfer this part of the cost to consumers in the form of price increases.
