On January 19, AMD officially released two low-end graphics cards RX 6500 XT and RX 6400, but the latter is only available for OEM equipment. Subsequently, it was reported that AMD may bring the RX 6400 to the retail market, perhaps renamed RX 6500, but more evidence shows that the name is still RX 6400.
In the South Korean RRA radio certification product library, there is already a GIGABYTE RX 6400, numbered "GV-R64EAGLE-4GD", which obviously belongs to the Eagle series, with 4GB of video memory.
GIGABYTE will most likely use the current RX 6500 XT Eagle solution directly to make the new card, and other homes will be similar.
It's just that if the double fan is too wasteful, it is naturally better to make a single fan semi-high knife card, or even a fanless silent card.
RX 6400 uses Navi 24 small cores, 768 stream processors, 12 optical chase units, 16MB unlimited cache, core frequency 2039-2321MHz, with 64-bit 4GB GDDR6 video memory, equivalent frequency 14GHz, the entire card power consumption is only 53W, no auxiliary power supply is required.
The specifications of the retail version should be consistent with the OEM version, or the frequency should be fine-tuned.
The RX 6500 XT starts at 1599 yuan, and the RX 6400 is bound to come to the early 1,000s. Playing games is not expected, but do an HTPC or something no problem, also suitable for tucking into the ITX mini machine.
