On March 22, local time, the 2022 FIFA Qatar World Cup (referred to as the "Qatar World Cup") officially opened the application for volunteer places. As an indispensable part of the event, FIFA officially opened a volunteer registration channel today, with a total of 20,000 places worldwide.
The launch of the volunteer project was held at the Katara Amphitheater in Doha, where 3,500 spectators gathered together. Special guests in attendance included his Excellency Salah bin Ganim Ali, Minister of Culture and Sports of Qatar, Hassan Al-Sabadi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Commission for the Delivery and Succession of the Qatar World Cup, Gianni Infantino, President of FIFA, and Fatma Samula, Secretary-General.
Also present at the event were football legends, Qatar World Cup ambassador Kahir (former Australian international) and other representatives from all walks of life.
The World Cup Volunteer Event is the grandest volunteer event in Qatar's history, aiming to unite people from all over the world through football to create the first FIFA World Cup in the Middle East and the Arab world, celebrate the love of football and show the true Qatari spirit. The 20,000 volunteers of this World Cup will be a core part of the competition, creating a proud spirit of volunteer service.

From March 21, volunteers of all backgrounds and experience levels can register through volunteer.FIFA.com. Applications are open to everyone, including qatari residents, middle eastern and other candidates. Applicants must have oral English proficiency, with proficiency in Arabic as a plus.
The purpose of this volunteer recruitment is to find candidates with excellent interpersonal communication skills, fast learning ability and ability to actively deal with problems. Communication, leadership, language and teamwork are all factors to be examined, and selected volunteers will be given training opportunities, skills and tools to support the event.
The 2022 Qatar World Cup will be held from November 21 to December 18, and some volunteers will start working from October 1. 20,000 volunteers from Qatar and around the world will delve into the various processes of the event, providing services in the functional areas of 45 official and unofficial venues, including stadiums, training venues, airports, fan zones, hotels and public transport hubs.
Requirements and screening process All volunteers should have the following:
Be at least 18 years old by October 1, 2022, with no upper limit on age.
Proficiency in spoken English and knowledge of Speaking Arabic are plus.
Be able to work at least ten full days during the event.
Candidate volunteers will participate in further evaluation and interviews. All selected volunteers will receive induction training, will be issued with Adidas limited edition uniforms, and enjoy free meals on duty and free public transportation.
