On March 20, a group of graphic videos were circulated online saying that some netizens bought a whole crocodile on the Hema Fresh Online, and in the video, two children were still playing with crocodiles, stroking and dragging crocodile paws and tails, and the chef was still beating when cutting the crocodile's head with a kitchen knife.

In response, Hema responded that the crocodiles sold by Hema are Siamese crocodiles formally farmed in Inner Mongolia. The goods are frozen products, which are sent directly from the place of origin through SF; they are de-viscerated before shipment, and there is no possibility of hibernation and resurrection under normal circumstances.
