Indonesian man dies after being eaten by crocodiles
Rusdi Tambah, a 45-year-old Indonesia plantation ·worker, fishes along the Matamba River in Sabah, Malaysia, on September 12.
This is his only hobby when he goes abroad to work, but he may not have imagined that this seemingly safe hobby will actually kill him.
At 10.07am that day, the Sabah Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call saying that a huge crocodile had been seen in the Matamba River biting a human who was swimming with most of his body in the water, including his head, and that he was probably dead.
The state fire and rescue department rushed to the scene.
After arriving at the scene, the crocodile did not go far, it was still swimming in the water 50 meters away from Rusdy · Tamba's fishing spot, and Rusdy · Temba was in the crocodile's mouth at this time, completely unchanged.
The wildlife department quickly arrived at the scene after receiving a call from the fire department, and without thinking too much, the animal that killed the person obviously could not be kept, so the wildlife department fired five shots at the crocodile, killing it on the spot.
They then pulled both the crocodile and the victim to shore. It was confirmed that the victim had died, as there were no family members in the area, and his body was currently handed over to the police for further action. The carcass of the crocodile was handed over to the wildlife department.
The operation ended at 1.10 p.m.
It happened for the second time this week
It may be hard for you to believe that such a horrific crocodile attack has happened for the second time in Sabah this week!
The last crocodile attack occurred on Wednesday (11 September) in Komarudu, Sabah, where 35-year-old Raz·is bin Amat and his 17-year-old nephew were swimming in a river in the Kampung Bharu district of Marudu Dara when they were attacked by a crocodile.
The Kota Marut Fire and Rescue Station received a call for help at 6.07 am that day, when eight members of the group, along with a utility vehicle and a boat, went to the riverbank where the incident occurred. After a search and rescue, Razisbon · Ama was eventually confirmed dead, and his nephew survived the accident and was lucky not to be bitten by a crocodile.
