I hope to take a walk to Xiping as soon as possible, enjoy the begonia flowers, ancestral culture, iron smelting and sword casting, paper-cutting art, visit the clothing, equipment manufacturing industry, etc., find a point of convergence for exchanges and cooperation, and promote the twinning of sister cities. Actively docking foreign sister cities is an important measure for Xiping County to implement the major decisions and deployments of the provincial party committee and the provincial government, and to promote the implementation of the strategy of opening up. Since last year, the county has actively carried out the docking of foreign sister cities through various channels, and Xiping has given support to successful people abroad. Through the active efforts of Ge Cunming, head of Beijing Yangyiyuan Art Co., Ltd., a Native of Xiping who is engaged in the international sales of cultural artworks in Beijing, Dušan Bela, the Slovak Ambassador to China, initially agreed to help promote the establishment of friendly and cooperative relations between Xiping County and a certain city in the country, and to promote opening up and friendship between the two sides through industrial and cultural exchanges. On March 10, Ambassador Duchamp Bella met with Governor Hou Gongtao of Xiping County and his party at the Embassy for extensive and in-depth talks on the docking of sister cities.
At the exchange forum, Governor Hou Gongtao introduced Xiping's long history, splendid culture, beautiful scenery, convenient transportation, vigorous industry, huge market radiation, and enthusiastic people, especially the source point of clothing civilization, the original ecological national forest park Tangxi source, the oldest Warring States iron smelting and casting sword site, the National Geographical Indication of Origin certification of Xiping wheat, the International Animal Husbandry Machinery Industrial Park, etc. Ambassador Duchamp Bella also briefed Hou Gongtao and his entourage on Slovakia's status as the "heart of Europe", the large number of ancient castles, the gathering of automobile manufacturing enterprises, and the development of the electronic information service industry. The two sides conducted in-depth negotiations on strengthening industrial cooperation, cultural exchanges, tourism consumption and other matters through the docking of sister cities, gathered ideological consensus, reached preliminary opinions, and laid the foundation for cooperation.
At the ambassador's residence, Hou Gongtao County Governor presented Xiping paper-cuts, women's bags and other special products produced in Xiping to the ambassador and his wife, hoping to spread excellent traditional culture through the embassy channel and help Xiping products go abroad. The ambassador and his wife also asked the governor of Hou County to appreciate the Slovak culture and further collide and exchange to seek a combination point.
Hou Gongtao said that this meeting is a good start for the docking of sister cities, and the real success of the docking requires more efforts from both sides. He hoped that Ambassador Duchamp Bella would lead the delegation to visit Yulaixi, further explore docking, seek ways to expand economic and trade exchanges, share the dividends of the "Belt and Road", and compose wonderful music for exchanges and integration.
