As the saying goes: "If the circle is not in harmony, it is not necessary to be hard to integrate, and the three views are not in harmony, and there is no need to go together." ”
The so-called "three views" refers to the world view, life outlook, and values. Interpersonal communication ultimately depends on whether the three views are common, and getting along with people who are consistent with the three views is simply like a fish in the water, and it is very pleasant to see each other; on the contrary, interacting with people who do not agree with the three views is the so-called "words do not speculate more than half a sentence", which is simply a disaster.
In his later years, Wang Yangming summed up his three views and recorded them in the "Book of Transmissions": "There is no good and no disgusting body, there are good and malicious movements, knowing good and knowing evil is conscience, and removing evil for good is a special thing." ”
The first three sentences summarize Wang Yangming's world outlook, outlook on life, and values. Let's take a look at what Mr. Yang Ming's three views are like. What aspects of our ordinary people need to be corrected and improved?

Wang Yangming once discussed the issue of good and evil with his disciple Xue Kan. On that day, when Xue Kan was weeding in the flower garden, he sighed: "It is very difficult to promote good and eliminate evil. ”
Wang Yangming said: "There is no 'good' and 'evil' in all natural things, and the so-called 'good' and 'evil' are all caused by the selfish thoughts in our hearts. Many people see gold as good, but swallowing gold alive will kill people; people's dung is evil, but manure is a fertilizer that cannot be missing in the fields. ”
Judging from Wang Yangming's world view, our attitude toward all things in heaven and earth should be that there is no good or evil. It is not difficult to understand that the same grass, growing in the flower garden, is considered "evil", and if it grows on the pasture, it is regarded as "good". The growth of all things follows the laws of nature, which is the arrangement of nature and should not be arranged by human desires.
"There is no good or evil in all things in heaven and earth" is Wang Yangming's world view. He also exhorted the world to get rid of the views of good and evil that arise from the selfish desires of the heart.
You can't leave a single thought on your mind and body, just as you can't blow a little dust into your eyes. How many can there be in a little bit? It can make people's eyes darken.
This thought refers not only to private thoughts, but even good thoughts cannot have a single thought. For example, if you put some jade shavings in your eyes, your eyes won't open.
So, how do we view our relationship with all things?
It is recorded in the "Zhuangzi Tianxia Chapter" that Hui Shi put forward the view of "loving all things and the unity of heaven and earth". Zhuangzi especially agreed with Hui Shi's point of view, and also wrote the same view in the "Theory of Qi Things": "Heaven and earth are born with me, and all things are one with me." ”
The meaning of Hui Shi and Zhuangzi, in short, is that human beings are no different from other beings, they are all "things" in the natural universe, and man and all things are one, and human beings should abandon the so-called good and evil.
Mr. Yang Ming absorbed the idea of "All-That-Is" and further elaborated his understanding from the "heart": Since the mind is the reason, there is nothing outside the heart, there is nothing outside the heart, and the essence of the mind is no good and no evil, so everything in heaven and earth should also be good and evil. No good or no evil is the most natural state of the mind, it is the essence of the mind.
To put it simply, when our mind does not have the selfish thoughts of good and evil, the mind is in the most natural state, then the heavens and the earth and all things that the mind sees are also in the most natural state, where nature lets it be, it is where it is, and nature lets it do, it does.
It's like when we see a tiger swooping down on a sika deer and feeling bloody and evil. But this is the law of nature's predatory predator, the tiger out of survival instinct to hunt, do not eat will starve to death, this is not good and evil, do not need human intervention.
On the one hand, "All-That-Is", man must respect and obey the laws of nature. If we blindly look at all things and dominate all things from the perspective of "self-interest", then we will be punished by nature.
For example, in order to make a profit, human beings have harvested a large amount of ore to cause landslides, and the people and property of nearby residents have suffered heavy losses; human beings wantonly felling forests has caused large-scale desertification of land, extreme climate is raging, and the ecological environment has been badly damaged, and the result is that they themselves have suffered from it;
Human beings hunt wild animals, in addition to making fur, out of curiosity and showing off, they also cook, resulting in the spread of new infectious diseases, causing a crisis in the whole society, etc., are all caused by human selfish thoughts.

If human beings destroy nature in a frenzy, nature will regurgitate human beings. Therefore, we should pay attention to this issue, in real life, put the self and all things in one, and discipline our words and deeds.
On the other hand, it is also of guiding significance to put the ideas of "no good and no evil" and "All-That-Is" in the world. For example, in the workplace, if you and a colleague disagree with a colleague because of work matters, there is a dispute, and the person is defined as good and evil in his heart.
In fact, if you think about it, you just have different perspectives on the same problem, and in the end, neither of them is absolutely good or evil.
Many times, if you can think differently, tolerate and forgive each other, and then communicate, there will not be so many knots that cannot be solved, which is better than being stuck there, the problem cannot be solved, and both people are blocked in their hearts.
Therefore, to forgive others is also to forgive oneself, and to be kind to all things is to be kind to oneself. "I" is no different from "others," and I am no different from "all things."
The most natural mind is the mind without good or evil thoughts. Abandon the heart of good and evil, and look at all things in the world from the perspective of no good and no evil, then the heart will no longer be confused by all kinds of good and evil, and the action will not be trapped by all kinds of good and evil.

There are good and malicious movements
"There are good and malicious movements" is Wang Yangming's outlook on life. When our thoughts move, an inner conscience emerges, and then the thoughts that conform to the Heavenly Principles are good, and the thoughts that do not conform to the Heavenly Principles are evil. Conscience itself, though it has no good or evil, can freely know good and know evil.
It should be noted that the good and evil he speaks of is not the good and evil produced by the selfish thoughts of the human heart. This good and evil is a naturally determined good and evil of the universe that our inner conscience freely perceives.
Mr. Yang Ming believes that conscience is the innate nature of human beings, but it is often deceived. Therefore, he once wrote a poem: "A man has a heart of Zhongni, and he will smell and see suffering." Now the finger is with the true head, but the conscience is more doubtful. ”
What Sir expresses in this poem is that everyone in the world can become a sage, but he does not want to bear the hardships of self-cultivation and cultivation, and his heart is not confident enough, and this conscience is hidden.
The sages can comprehend this good and evil from their cultivation and study, and the conscience in their bodies emerges. And "to the conscience" is to practice the conscience in practice, so that the conscience shines with light and strength. Therefore, Wang Yangming often admonished his disciples: "To be born as a human being, you must have a conscience, and the saint has spent his whole life practicing 'to conscience'." ”
When Mr. Yang Ming put forward the purpose of "to conscience" at the age of fifty, he said bitterly: "The theory of conscience in this regard, derived from hundreds of deaths and difficulties, has no choice but to talk to people, only afraid that scholars will get it easily, play with it as a kind of situation, and work hard without real effort. ”
Wang Yangming was afraid that the true meaning he had realized through his life experience of a hundred deaths and a thousand times would not be valued by the world, and he was worried that the people of the world would not be able to practice it diligently, and wasted all his painstaking efforts.
So, how do we do "good and malicious action" to make the inner conscience emerge? Wang Yangming believes that people should cultivate their own nature and understand their conscience from "reading and learning the Tao."
He said, "The essence of the mind is the celestial being." The illumination of heavenly sense, the so-called conscience also. "The difference between a sage and an ordinary person is that the sages have realized their conscience and act according to it, so to learn by reading is to realize their inner conscience through reading.
We must persist in learning, self-restraint like the sages, self-cultivation and abandonment of bad habits, and not slackness and slackness, so that we can awaken our inner conscience and thus practice it in practical life.

Knowing good and knowing evil is conscience
Wang Yangming once said: "Qiankun is up to me, and An uses him to ask for it?" A thousand saints have passed through the shadows, and conscience is my teacher. ”
He believes that conscience is the innate nature of man, the conscience of the wise is bright in the heart, radiant, driven by conscience, words and deeds show morality and wisdom; while the conscience of the fool is covered up, obscured by the light, so words and deeds appear foolish and blind.
Man's understanding of good and evil is determined by his inner conscience, and his knowledge of good and evil is the function of conscience. That is to say, conscience makes people understand what is good and what should not be done.
This is the process of "right mind", where conscience allows people to get rid of selfish desires and distractions and set the mind straight. With a straight heart, whatever you do will have good results.
It can be seen that conscience has such a great power that Mr. Yang Ming regards conscience as a teacher. And "knowing good and knowing evil is conscience" is also Mr. Yang Ming's value.
For example, if a person with an improper mind, although highly learned, uses his knowledge for his own benefit, he will leave the safety of others and even society as a whole behind.
On the contrary, a person who is not highly learned, but has a conscience, he can work diligently, serve others, and do useful things for society.
Moreover, high learning does not mean wisdom. Those who have committed serious crimes are also highly educated, they may have graduated from prestigious schools, they may be very knowledgeable, but their inner conscience is dusted, they cannot resist selfish desires, they cannot distinguish between good and evil, and they only do things from instinct, even if they hurt others and destroy the natural order, they are unaware.
This is a kind of self-righteous stupidity.
Often this kind of person, although he reads a lot, has never obtained the deepest purpose of reading. Mr. Yang Ming once said that in addition to enlightenment, we must also light up our inner conscience through reading.
Therefore, even if people read a lot of books and forget the specific content of the books, it does not matter. The contents of the book can be understood, and if the conscience is awakened, that is the most important thing. Mr. Yang Ming said that he read books to learn from saints, and we also read books to become better selves.
The above three points are exactly the "three views" mentioned in Wang Yangming's mental science.
The world view of "no good and no disgusting body" allows us to recognize that all things in the whole world are one with us, and if we want to develop steadily for a long time, we must live in harmony with all things around us and eliminate selfish desires;
The outlook on life of "good and malicious action" makes us clear that conscience is like a heart lamp guiding the way forward, not dusty, and learning from saints through reading can make conscience shine;
"Knowing good and knowing evil is conscience" makes us understand that if conscience is put in practice and knowledge and action are integrated, conscience will exert its due strength.
Mr. Yang Ming's three views are worth learning from each of us, as long as we insist on understanding and put them into practice, then the self will also be elevated to a new realm and become more and more wise.
