The 8-day "Drama Dock" National Youth Opera Challenge (season 2) ended yesterday in the studio of Hubei Radio and Television Station. Yang Shuai, a 28-year-old young actor at fuzhou Minju Opera Art Heritage and Development Center, finally won the title of Top Ten National Youth Opera Challenge after fierce competition in group competitions, resurrection competitions and confrontation competitions.
The "Drama Dock" National Youth Opera Challenge (Season 2) began on the 10th and was broadcast live on Hubei Satellite TV for 8 consecutive days, setting off a wave of opera fever. 24 outstanding young actors under the age of 35 from 14 genres of opera, including Peking Opera, Kunqu Opera, Yue Opera, Yu Opera, Cantonese Opera, Commentary, Huangmei Opera, and Fujian Opera, participated in the event. Shang Changrong, honorary chairman of the China Drama Association, Li Guang, a veteran of literature and martial arts at the National Peking Opera Theatre, and Zhu Shihui, a clown in Peking Opera, and 15 other theatrical performance artists formed a luxurious jury lineup.
The event is divided into four stages: group competition, resurrection competition, confrontation competition and final. On the evening of the 11th, Yang Shuai participated in the group competition to perform the Fujian opera "Double Butterfly Fan Visiting the Prison" and entered the resurrection competition with 97.31 points; on the evening of the 13th, Yang Shuai performed the Fujian opera "Water Prison Touching the Seal" and entered the confrontation competition with 98.69 points; on the evening of the 14th, Yang Shuai performed the Fujian opera "Danqing Soul" and won the "Top Ten"; on the evening of the 16th, Yang Shuai performed the Fujian opera "Double Butterfly Fan Alone Cold-Resistant" and scored 98.38 points in the finals.
Fujian opera, also known as Fuzhou opera, has a long history, unique charm and profound mass foundation, and is an important carrier for expressing and inheriting China's excellent traditional culture. A few days ago, Fuzhou City formulated and promulgated the "Fuzhou Min Opera Protection Regulations", in the form of legislation to improve institutional measures, summarize and solidify successful experience, and better promote the inheritance and development of Fujian opera. It is hoped that more people will pay attention to and support the protection of Fujian opera, and more young actors will participate in the inheritance of Fujian opera to jointly promote the prosperity and development of Fujian opera.
