Sichuan City Vocational College was founded in 1999. The school has two campuses in Chengdu and Meishan, covering an area of 1,602 acres and a building area of about 600,000 square meters. The library has a collection of more than 2 million volumes. There are 6 professional colleges, including the School of Information Technology, the School of Urban Construction and Design, the School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Transportation, the School of Medicine and Health, the School of Economics and Management, and the College of Education, and 3 community colleges, including Dongpo College, Mingde College, and Zhiyuan College, and the School of Continuing Education.

Established in January 2022, the AST Behavioral Development Research Center of Cheng vocational education is mainly dedicated to the cultivation of practical talents in rehabilitation education for "children with autism and other widespread developmental disorders" (autism or autism).
At present, there is a relatively widespread supply and demand contradiction between the training of practical talents in the direction of rehabilitation education for "children with autism and other widespread developmental disorders" in mainland higher education and the relatively large actual demand. Our center is also committed to the practice and research of rehabilitation education technology for "children with autism and other widespread developmental disorders". The rehabilitation education technology "Children with Autism and Other Widespread Developmental Disorders" is a behavioral development intervention technique based on the knowledge of the "applied behavioral analysis" discipline that is widely used internationally.
"Applied Behavioral Analysis" discipline knowledge is the main research discipline of our center, abbreviated as ABA. In the United States, ABA has been promoted since the 1940s and has a history of more than 80 years. China started late and only began to introduce China in the 1990s.
ABA is the most empirically supported intervention for the treatment of autism and is currently included in the Medicare reimbursement service system in the United States. ABA is not only used in autism rehabilitation intervention, but also for rehabilitation intervention for a wide range of developmental disorders such as ADHD and learning disabilities, as well as psychotherapy, organizational behavior management and other fields.
Our center introduces the latest international teaching and research achievements in this discipline and the intervention technology that has been empirically effective and internationally recognized, forming a unique teaching system and practical training mechanism of our school. In the field of domestic higher education, the first scientific, rigorous and standardized teaching system for practical talents in this discipline was created.
The combination of production and education is not only the teaching characteristic of our school, but also the teaching characteristic of our center. Our center is located in the practical training center in Chengdu campus, which is the practice base for the scientific research and teaching achievements of our center. The training base can accommodate the rehabilitation of 10 to 20 children with autism and other extensive developmental disorders. The experts and scholars of our center are involved in children's rehabilitation training in the frontline while teaching, combining theory and practice, education and industry.
Our center trains about 100 professional students for our School of Education every year. Students can not only systematically learn theoretical knowledge, but also get practical learning in the practical training center, and truly become practical talents in the industry.
In the field of higher education, as a pathfinder for the cultivation of practical talents and practical technical research in the industry, we are also shouldering the obligation to popularize the knowledge of "autism and other extensive developmental disorders" to the society and promote the formation of a social love environment.
