Dida is arguably one of Milan's most erratic champions-level goalkeepers. He was loaned out to teams such as Switzerland and Brazil for his poor performance in Milan until he was out of office in 2002 due to an injury to Christian Abbiati, winning two titles for Milan in the same year. Christian Abiati (1998-2016, 281 matches)
Occupying the starting spot late in Christian Abiati's Milan career, fate was always similar, with Christian Abiati being snatched up for most of his career by Dida. Christian Abiati played for Milan for 18 years (three of which were loaned out), mostly as the No. 2 goalkeeper due to injury problems, occasionally replacing the national team, but had a stable playing time in various cup competitions until Milan regained the starting position in the middle and late stages of his career. Christian Abiati has won 3 league titles, 1 Italian Cup, 2 Italian Super Leagues, 1 Champions League and 1 European Super Cup in Milan. Christian Abiati retired as club manager for Milan.
