Mr. Suo Wenbin is an old painter in the new Chinese painting world. He is said to be new to the Chinese painting world because Mr. Suo Wenbin has been immersed in the exploration of Chinese painting for many years and rarely shows his face, so the painting world does not know much about him. However, once Mr. Suo Wenbin appeared, he quickly attracted the attention of the industry. Of course, this is not unrelated to Mr. Suo Wenbin's artistic attainment and cultural accomplishment, but what is more important is that it stems from the "grounding gas" of his paintings, not being blunt and imitating the ancient, nor blindly innovating, but based on the experience of life, refining his own feelings and expressing his emotions.

Born in 1941 in Xinzhou, Shanxi, Mr. Suo Wenbin has loved calligraphy and painting since childhood, and began to learn calligraphy and painting when he was a teenager, laying a deep foundation for calligraphy and painting. After becoming an adult, because he was implicated in political affairs, Mr. Suo Wenbin left his hometown and went north to the cold land to work and live in the desert. During the period, although he experienced various sports and ups and downs, Mr. Suo Wenbin always regarded painting as a kind of psychological sustenance and never stopped working. Not only that, the vast grassland and the scenery of the desert north have provided Mr. Suo Wenbin with the nourishment of life, which has cast his strong character and also given him the passion and inspiration for painting creation. Therefore, most of Mr. Suo Wenbin's works are based on the theme of Mongolian people and horses, expressing his love for grassland life.

In Mr. Suo Wenbin's pen, whether it is a horse or a Mongolian people, there is a strong breath of life. Unlike some Chinese painters who blindly imitate the ancients, Mr. Suo Wenbin takes the method of nature, mainly through observing life and on-site sketching to condense his pen and ink language, so that his works are often flexible and full of vitality, both heroic momentum and meticulous portrayal; both ink rhyme, but also simple and changeable...
