In 2011, Chen Ping, who had been choosing a career for nearly ten years after retiring from the army, with the yearning for nature in her heart, contracted more than 600 acres of barren mountains in Shiyao Village, Liubu Town, Licheng District, Jinan City, and became the person in charge of the Dalayu Forest Farm.
Chen Ping said that at that time, she chose to choose her own career, one was to reduce the pressure of local resettlement, on the other hand, because there was a good policy, she also wanted to give herself ten years to try it.
However, when Chen Ping first made this decision, she was opposed by many people.
Since 2002, Chen Ping has founded a business and participated in public welfare undertakings.
Along the way, she has always firmly believed that "as long as the will of the soldiers does not collapse, they can live out value and excitement." It was in the midst of such opposition that Chen Ping resolutely decided to take this step.
Reclaim barren mountains and plant trees to create a green ocean
"Ten years of trees, a hundred years of tree people", in the past 10 years, Chen Ping has devoted herself to the implementation of protective construction, planted more than 50,000 trees, built water conservancy projects, improved mountain vegetation, and formed a step-by-step, staggered natural ecological landscape. Today, the trees on the mountain are leafy, and Chen Ping has turned the former barren mountain into a green ocean with her own hands.
For ten years, Chen Ping has deeply loved the land under her feet, and in the eyes of her friends, she has already integrated this land into her heart.
With the efforts of Chen Ping, the Dalayu Ecological Forest Farm firmly grasped the strategic development opportunity of "Healthy China" and "Rural Revitalization", strictly implemented the ecological protection of forest land, and just last year, it was also rated as "China's Forest Health Care Family" by the China Forestry Industry Federation.
Wholeheartedly committed to poverty alleviation, drive villagers to protect greenery and become rich
In order to effectively protect the resources of Dalayu in a longer term and lead the villagers to get rid of poverty and get rich by means of the tourism industry, Chen Ping and the two committees of Shiyao Village jointly introduced strategic investors, invested more than 12 million yuan, prepared for the construction of the Shangshan Homestay Project, and invested in the cooperative in the village.
Today, the barren mountains that were once full of wild grasses have been carefully built and completely changed.
Looking at the fact that so many beautiful homestays have been built in the former village, this little change has made Zhang Xingli, director of Shiyao Village in Liubu Street, also feel a lot.
Nowadays, the Shangshan Homestay project has been completed, passed the acceptance of the Management Committee of the Southern Mountain District of Jinan City, and was also selected as a "Quancheng Renjia" boutique homestay. Built by the mountain, the rustic building built by the water makes everything return to its authenticity, and the grass and trees on the mountain all reveal the owner's intentions.
With the goal of "promoting the development of rural tourism and creating a model project for rural revitalization", the homestay has now driven dozens of local villagers to employment, and in the next step, Chen Ping plans to rely on Shangshan Homestay and jointly carry out ecological planting and picking garden and other beneficial projects with the village cooperative to drive the villagers to get rich together.

For 10 years, Chen Ping walked in the streets and alleys of Shiyao Village, measuring the land she loved with her feet, the roads in the village had fallen into disrepair, she raised her own funds to build bridges in the village to pave the way for the traffic of the big guys; every year in the lunar new year, she would buy some New Year goods and visit more than 20 families in the village who were over 80 years old.
From the military doctor's independent choice of career to personal entrepreneurship, and then to the National Games to attract investment, and now contracted barren mountains, afforestation, although the identity has changed, but Chen Ping feels that no matter what position, as long as the will of the soldiers does not collapse, they can live out the value and wonderful!
