Deng Li was appointed vice minister of foreign affairs; Hua Chunying (female) was appointed as assistant minister of foreign affairs; Lu Yingchuan was appointed vice minister of culture and tourism; Liu Guoyong was appointed deputy director of the State General Administration of Sports; Wang Jianjun was appointed vice chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission; and You Zheng was appointed president of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (vice minister level).
Shi Gang was dismissed from his post as deputy director of the State Council Research Office; Yan Qingmin was dismissed from his post as vice chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission; and Li Yuanyuan was dismissed from his post as president of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
