The Apple App Store and official website are open to donations to Ukraine

IT House March 5 news, according to 9to5 Mac reported that Apple has made it easier to support Ukraine. Apple now has a banner at the top of its website with a donate button that directs users to apple music or the iTunes app. Users can even donate by clicking on a banner in the App Store or Apple News app.

Apple has the option to donate $5 to $200, with all proceeds going directly to UNICEF's U.S. office to help families affected by the war in Ukraine. Donations are made through the user's Apple ID and can be paid using either payment method on the account.

It's one of several recent actions Apple has taken to defend Ukraine. Earlier this week, Tim Cook emailed employees saying apples would match their donations to Ukraine in a 2:1 ratio. The email also said Apple is working with partners to assess what else they can do to help.

Apple stopped selling its products in Russia and stopped exporting to its russian sales channels. It also removes the two main apps, RT and Sputnik, from the International App Store. However, both apps can still be downloaded from the App Store store in Russia.
