The World Preliminary Tournament was contested by a total of 80 teams, which were divided into 4 divisions, except for 32 teams from Europe, the other three major divisions were played by 16 teams. In the first stage, there were 8 groups in Europe and 4 groups in the remaining divisions, each with 4 teams, playing a single round robin PK, and the top three of the group advanced to the next round.
The teams currently qualifying in the Asia Pacific division are Australia, India, Iran, New Zealand, Jordan, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon and the Philippines. The teams that qualified in the European division are France, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Spain and Serbia.
On the Americas side, there are also nine teams that have advanced, namely Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Dominica, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, the United States and Venezuela. In the African division, due to the schedule, no team has yet secured the promotion.
As the Asian hegemon, the Chinese team has a record of 2 wins and 0 losses, but due to the absence of the second window of competition, the Chinese team has not yet determined the qualification for promotion. On the contrary, India, they lost all 3 games in the group stage, suffered three consecutive defeats, but because the South Korean team withdrew to pick up the leak, directly advanced.
