The new Intel vPro platform is unveiled, enriching the product portfolio to meet the commercial computing needs of all types of enterprises

Platform Brief: With over 15 years of innovation, Intel vPro brings a comprehensive portfolio of platforms that provide the technology and compute options needed to power the growth of a wide range of enterprises.

Intel vPro Enterprise for Windows operating systems is a full-featured commercial platform for large enterprises and hosting enterprises. It includes a comprehensive set of technologies to help businesses protect against security threats.

Intel vPro Essentials extends previous security and device management capabilities for large enterprises to the SMB space. Intel vPro Essentials also supports Intel Hardware Shield, which protects platforms based on the Windows operating system.

Intel vPro Enterprise for Chrome for Chrome creates a new Chromebook for enterprise environments that delivers the high performance, stability, and security technologies that businesses need. This new platform further allows decision makers to match the required equipment for the right users.

Devices affixed with the Intel vPro, An Evo Design design logo meet both Intel vPro and Intel Evo design standards, indicating that such laptops will provide an exceptional user experience for the mobile workforce.

What it means: With 12th generation Intel Core processors, the Intel vPro platform delivers a huge performance jump for commercial software in real-world scenarios. The Intel vPro platform, based on 12th generation Intel Core processors, uses the Intel 7 process to deliver:

The sophisticated design of the high-performance hybrid architecture combines an energy efficiency core and a performance core, giving users the freedom to multitask and collaborate when using their PCs while working on user and IT-related applications.

The outstanding performance of the 12th generation Intel Core mobile processors is purpose-built for business productivity scenarios, with up to 27% performance improvement in mainstream application scenarios compared to the previous generation. In crossmark tests, Intel's latest Core i7 mobile processor has a performance advantage of up to 41% on mainstream applications.

12th Generation Intel Core Desktop Processors deliver superior business productivity performance. Compared to the previous generation, the processor can improve performance by up to 21% in mainstream application scenarios. In CrossMark testing, Intel's latest Core i9 desktop processors have a performance advantage of up to 44% over mainstream applications.

When using Microsoft Excel in Zoom video conferencing, the application performance benefit of the 12th generation Intel Core i9-12900 desktop processor can be up to 23%. When using Power BI in Zoom teleconferencing, the benefits can be up to 46%.

Intel Wi-Fi 6E (Gig+) and Intel Connectivity Performance Suite deliver an unmatched connectivity experience, just like having an itcchian IN-house IT expert to ensure an uninterrupted wireless connectivity experience for users at all times.

12th Generation Intel Core Desktop Processors support DDR5 memory, while mobile processors support DDR5 and LPDDR5, further enhancing performance. When paired with the corresponding Intel chipset, Intel vPro Enterprise-based entry-level workstations also support ECC memory.

Thunderbolt 4 offers a powerful single-cable docking station solution that helps users easily expand their mobile workspace, boost productivity by connecting multiple 4K displays and accessories, and enjoy ergonomic comfort while charging their laptops.

About security: The new Intel vPro platform based on 12th Gen Intel Core processors provides complete security for businesses:

Intel® Threat Detection Technology (Intel TDT) is one of the few hardware-based technologies that detects ransomware, increasing efficiency and speed while detecting the latest attacks.

A new frontier detector for anomalous behavior detection detects Living Off the Land as well as supply chain form attacks. The detector uses artificial intelligence to label the "application behavior whitelist" and sends a signal to the endpoint security software in real time when abnormal behavior occurs.

New chip-based performance addresses the next batch of target operating system virtualization needs, while enhancing new fault injection monitoring capabilities for Intel chipsets to help protect malicious code from being written.

Complete Business PC Platform: The Intel vPro platform delivers professional-grade performance and comprehensive features to help protect and manage devices. For 12th Generation Intel Core processors, Intel vPro offers a complete platform portfolio that provides computing solutions for a wide range of jobs in enterprises of all sizes. With remote collaboration, multitasking, and user applications competing with IT applications for computing resources, the Intel vPro platform is critical to increasing employee productivity and maintaining business continuity.

Manufacturers will be introducing more than 150 products in various form factors this year, integrating the security and manageability of the Intel vPro platform with the superior experience intel Evo design for mobile users.

For IoT developers, the Intel vPro platform based on 12th generation Intel Core processors provides commercial-grade performance, remote management, and more, making it ideal for applications in retail, healthcare, manufacturing, banking, hospitality, education, and more.

Partner Perspective: Matt MacPherson, Cisco Enterprise Wireless Chief Technology Officer, said: "The new Dedicated Express Connect enables Wi-Fi 6E to dramatically improve Wi-Fi network connectivity performance, bringing gigabit-level high-speed connectivity, more device support, and improving the reliability of business-critical applications. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Intel and providing users with a superior end-to-end experience by combining the benefits of the new Cisco Catalyst, Meraki Wi-Fi 6E access points, and the new 12th Gen Intel vPro platform integrated with Intel Wi-Fi 6E (Gig+). ”

The high-performance hybrid architecture combines two new core microarchitectures, a performance core and an energy efficiency core, on a single processor chip. Certain 12th generation Intel Core processors (specific 12th generation Intel Core i5 processors and lower performance processors) do not support a high-performance hybrid architecture, only performance cores.
