According to reports, Guangdong Audio-Visual Publishing House has been committed to the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage, especially traditional ethnic music, for many years, and has set up the "Nanyue Ancient Yidao Music Production Research Center", which has professional advantages in the collection, cataloguing, production and publication of traditional Lingnan music.
In recent years, with the deepening of the revitalization action of Nanyue Ancient Yidao, the relevant music revival achievements of Guangdong Audio and Video Publishing House have also been accumulated.
"The Four Seasons of Yidao Tianlai Ancient Music Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter" is a key publishing project of the Nanyue Ancient Yidao Music Production Research Center in recent years. Since 2019, the Nanyue Ancient Yidao Music Research Center of Guangdong Audio-visual Publishing House has organized relevant experts and production teams to conduct field research on Guyidao, and formulated the "Four Seasons of Ancient Yidao" Nanyue Ancient Yidao Music Project Creation and Publication Plan, which took nearly three years to complete.
Experts and production teams visited intangible cultural heritage musicians, collected, sorted out and refined many musical elements such as local ancient sounds, mountain songs and unique instrumental music, and combined with modern needs, created and arranged 40 ancient Yidao music works.
"Four Seasons of Yidao Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter" shows the four seasons of Yidao in four chapters: spring, summer, autumn and winter, and is recorded as four music albums of "Spring", "Summer", "Autumn" and "Winter". It uses the movements of the four seasons to string together a rich and diverse traditional Lingnan music culture, including both restored ancient music and new works showing the charm of Yidao, all of which preserve and disseminate, activate and utilize Yidao music from a new perspective.
The whole set of albums is well-made, and a number of famous domestic musicians are invited to participate in the production and performance. Listening carefully to the whole work, the guqin is elegant and long, the guzheng is smooth and gorgeous, and the tone of the Middle Ruan is mellow, whether in terms of production or design, it highlights the simplicity, ancient rhyme and endless cultural vitality of the Nanyue Ancient Yidao, and is a masterpiece that promotes and inherits the excellent Lingnan culture.
It is reported that in order to protect and carry forward the traditional ethnic opera and music of Lingnan, the Guangdong Audio-Visual Publishing House has successively completed the publication and distribution of lingnan local opera series such as "Cantonese Opera Classic", "Chao opera ceremony", "Guangdong Hakka Mountain Song Ceremony", "Guangdong Rare Opera Classic" and other lingnan local opera boutique series in recent years, and has also planned and published large-scale national traditional music and cultural quality projects such as "Qin Song Poetry Classic", "Lingnan Sound Archive", "Silk Road Cantonese Rhyme", and "Chaozhou Da Gong and Drum Traditional Song Pai Eighteen Sets".
