"As we expected, it should be signed this summer. The maximum amount of the long contract, obviously he deserves," Raznatović said on the URBONUS podcast.
Jokic qualified for a super contract in 2022 or 2023 after earning the MVP last summer.
According to ESPN payroll expert Bobby Marks, Jokic's 2022 super-cap renewal is expected to be the largest contract in NBA history, totaling $241 million (based on a $121.5 million salary cap).
The last time Jokic signed a five-year, $148 million deal with the Nuggets in 2018, he simply exchanged emails with his agent. This time, if all goes according to plan, Misko Raznatović wants to organize a grand gathering.
There is no doubt that Nikola Jokic deserves a contract extension. He's the best player for the Denver Nuggets, and this year he kept the team in the playoffs, even though the team was missing Murray, Porter Jr. and others.
