Lin Zhengchuan, born in 1946 in Shantou, Guangdong, is now living in Auckland, New Zealand. Lin Zhengchuan practiced Hakka boxing since he was a child, and in 1968 he went to Hong Kong to help teach in the ShiShu Martial Arts Hall. In 1975, Lin Zhengchuan went to New Zealand to develop and founded the Li Family Boxing Gym, his wife is Maori, and he has three children after marriage. In 1980, Lin Zhengchuan took his apprentices to participate in competitions around the world, and with his unremitting efforts, he changed the New Zealand amateur competition to a professional nature, and developed the local competition into an international event.
