"Hubei Women's Football Youth Training Survey" | the "golden period" of football girls' growth needs more investment

To complete the leap from popularization to top-notch, Hubei women's football team alone relies on campus football investment is not enough, but also needs the sports department to build a professional echelon, in the physical, technical, tactical, psychological and other aspects of the players to polish and improve. The adolescent period of female footballers is also the "golden period" of player growth. Pan Yi, head of the women's department of the Wuhan Football Association, believes that the quality of training during this period determines how far a player can go in his career, "In the youth training stage, we still need more investment." ”

Hubei Daily all-media reporter investigation found that the province's women's football youth training and echelon construction funds, resources are relatively scarce, during the training period, coaches can sometimes only "be ugly and simple", it is difficult to achieve the desired effect.

The envied Wuhan youth training is also envious of others

There are 7 teams in the Wuhan Football Association Women's Football Youth Training System, covering 8 to 18 years old. On February 19, a reporter from Hubei Daily visited the Tazihu Sports Center and watched the 09-year-old women's football training. Leading the training is former women's football international Yue Min.

On that day, 20 players participated in the training, they were selected from the whole city of Wuhan, passing, scrambling have a board and eyes, the level is significantly higher than the average campus football player. Yue Min introduced that every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, these children will come to the Tazihu Sports Center to train intensively, and this year, they will also participate in the Provincial Games. When guiding training, Yue Min was very strict, constantly shouting loudly, personally demonstrating, and pointing out the mistakes and deficiencies of the players in time. As the first Wuhan female footballer to be selected for the national team, Yue Min's vision of selecting players is very high. In the team, Li Xinyi is a young player she favors, and this little girl with a ponytail has been selected for the national junior team and has been named the "Rose Star".

Among the same age group in the province, Yue Min's team is the strongest. In the 2021 Provincial Women's Football Championship 09 age group final, Wuhan defeated Jingzhou to win the championship. The loss also impressed Jingzhou coach Wang Xiang: "Wuhan has good players in many positions, although we have such a prominent player as Zhang Yating, the overall strength is still lacking. "Compared with other cities and states in the province, Wuhan women's football team has a larger population base and better training conditions, which is the envy of many grassroots coaches."

The Wuhan women's football youth training ranks first in the province's inland cities, but looking at the whole country, it does not belong to the first echelon. In recent years, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong and other provinces and cities have continued to increase investment in women's football youth training, and the popularization of campus football and the quality of youth training are at the forefront. In contrast, there is still a lot of room for improvement in the youth training conditions of wuhan women's football.

Taking the 09 age group of Wuhan women's football team as an example, when selecting this group of players, only more than 180 young players in the city signed up to compete. In Yue Min's view, such a range of materials is not enough, "I hope to be able to select thirty or even forty people, but there are not so many who can meet the requirements." "The team does not currently have a dedicated goalkeeper and official matches require temporary cameos by players. The players are scattered and the training time is insufficient, which is also an obstacle to the progress of Wuhan women's football. Every Monday to Thursday, these girls can only be trained in scattered schools, and the intensity and quality of training cannot be guaranteed. In addition, the number of women's football coaches in the Wuhan Football Association is limited, and only external coaches can be hired as a supplement, but it is limited by salary standards, and it is difficult to attract high-level youth coaches.

The little women's soccer team needs to step up its efforts to impact the whole fortune

On February 17, the rain in Wuhan was pouring and the spring was cold. At the indoor training ground of the Provincial Football Association Evergreen Garden Football Base, Guo Jingdian, a 17-year-old women's football girl, trained with the U13 men's football team. Guo Jingdian is a native of Xiangyang, who entered Hubei Sports Vocational College in 2016 to start football training and was selected for the U15 national junior team. In September 2020, when he played against Beijing, Guo Jingdian fractured his knee and almost bid farewell to football. After the surgery, she recuperated for more than a year before resuming her training.

Guo Jingdian practices with the men's football team, mainly focusing on the sports rehabilitation conditions here. In 2015, in order to prepare for the U18 women's football competition of the Shaanxi National Games, the Provincial Football Association set up a women's football elite echelon, due to the limited capacity of the Evergreen Garden base, it can only undertake the daily residential training of the echelon of the men's national games, and the women's football training is located in the provincial sports vocational institute. The medical rehabilitation conditions of the women's football team of the Provincial Sports Vocational Hospital are average, and in order to recover the state as soon as possible, Guo Jingdian was transferred to the Evergreen Base. She hopes to be re-selected for the national team and become a professional player in the future.

In recent years, with the support of many parties, the Provincial Football Management Center and the Provincial Sports Vocational Institute have jointly built three women's football teams, the birth years of the team members from 2003 to 2009, last year recruited a group of "post-10" girls, but have not yet officially established the team. After the 2021 Shaanxi National Games, the 03-04 age group women's football team has no competition task, and some athletes have graduated or entered professional teams. According to the previous competition format, the 2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao National Games is very likely to also set up a U18 women's football competition, so the 07-08 age group women's football team has become the focus of youth training.

Compared with the Wuhan Little Women's Football Team, the Women's Youth Training of the Provincial Sports Vocational Institute has its advantages, and all team members concentrate on studying, training and living intensively. In the "three concentrations" training mode, it is conducive to exercising the athletes' better physical fitness and physical confrontation ability, which is also the key to the Hubei Men's National Games team has always insisted on and achieved good results in the four consecutive National Games. Last year, the provincial sports vocational college women's football team and the Wuhan women's football team played several confrontation matches, competing for the qualification to participate in the Shaanxi National Games U18 women's football team, and the provincial sports vocational college team won. But unfortunately, when representing Hubei, the two sides did not fully integrate excellent players, and finally Hubei U18 women's football stopped the National Games qualification match. Since the 2017 Tianjin National Games, Hubei U18 women's football team has missed the final round for two consecutive years.

The hope of breaking this "strange circle" is pinned on the 07-08 age group women's football team, in 2019, the provincial sports vocational college 07-08 age group women's football team won the fourth place in the national elite finals. However, the team leader Guo Xiaofei also admitted that some strong teams did not participate in that event, "In the past few years, we have few opportunities to participate in the competition, and if we do not play with strong teams, we will not get exercise, and it is difficult to accurately assess our own strength." ”

Since the establishment of the team, the provincial sports vocational college women's football training funds have fluctuated several times and are not stable, and they have become more and more "stretched" in the past two years. At present, the Provincial Sports Vocational Institute is training 94 women's football players, the coverage rate of food subsidies is less than half, the dietary nutrition is not rich enough, and the guarantee conditions such as training balls, venues, equipment, and clothing are not as good as competitors. If the situation is not improved, it will be difficult for the women's football team of the provincial sports vocational college to get out of the dilemma of difficult enrollment and excellent seedlings.
