On the 25th, a video of a suspected foreign woman running and waving was circulated on major domestic social media, and the relevant media and bloggers were accompanied by subtitles when forwarding, saying that "on February 24, Odessa, Ukraine, a man returned from Ukraine by train due to the outbreak of war, and his girlfriend ran all the way to say goodbye."
After verification, the content of the series originated from a network video titled "Ukraine Odessa has been invaded by Russian troops, on the eve of leaving Odessa by train, the girlfriend has been chasing the train afraid that she will never see me again", and was released at 23:47 on the evening of the 24th.
How do the parties respond?
Late at night on the 25th, the blogger who previously posted this original video released a video in response.
In the video, the blogger explains that he is still fleeing in the Ukrainian countryside (and has not returned home), and that the "train chase" video took place before the war broke out, when he had to leave because of preparations, and that he later released the video to express his feelings of missing his girlfriend.
The blogger also said that after the video was widely forwarded, it was "added to the fire" by the self-media.
Was Odessa captured by the Russians?
It is worth noting that in the original video released by the blogger on the 24th, it was mentioned that "Ukraine O(Ao) Desa has been invaded by the Russian army", so what is the current situation in Odessa?
On the 24th, the day when the blogger released the "chasing the train" video, there were indeed relevant reports that "the Russian army has landed in Odessa", but the Ukrainian military subsequently denied the news.
A Chinese in Odessa, Ukraine, said in an interview with the Global Times reporter, "The news of the landing is only hearsay, it is all rumors, and we don't care about these." All we know is that everything is normal in Odessa at the moment. ”
In the interview, the Chinese also said that at four or five o'clock in the morning of the 24th, he heard two artillery sounds in the distance, which was estimated to be a military facility being hit. In addition, there are no more abnormalities, the city is still functioning, and the lives of residents are as usual.
After the 24th, the battle around Odessa is still ongoing, according to a report quoted by the Ukrainian media on the 26th, the Adviser of the Office of the President of Ukraine said that the Ukrainian army and the Russian army continued to fight fiercely in Odessa, Kherson, Nikolayev and Mariupol, and the situation was still under the control of Ukraine.
At the same time, in a live interview released by CCTV4's official microblog on the 26th, local Chinese in Odessa said that the Russian army has not yet launched a large-scale military operation in Odessa.
