LaurenKohan wants Maggie to kill Negan in The Walking Dead

author:A flying fish 01

If you want Maggie to shoot a bullet into her brain after Negan survived and returned to the DC Metro car in Sunday's "The Walking Dead" episode, you're not alone. The same goes for the woman who plays Maggie.

Electrowarfight talks to Lauren Kohan to make her accept that Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) lets Maggie die after refusing to help her escape from a pack of hungry zombies (and then rationalizes it doesn't help her by saying the difference between trying to kill Maggie and simply choosing), and it can be said that the actress is equally angry about the action and rationalization. However, perhaps keeping the man who murdered her husband and then left her to a bunch of greedy meat eaters alive might have made a bigger gain.

Cohan tells us about Maggie's big moments and how the gruesome stories of the past few years have helped illustrate her stance on Negan's progress.

So Negan basically let Maggie die at the end of the season premiere, and then in the next episode, when she came back, he defended himself by saying, "Hey, there's a big difference between trying to kill you and trying to kill you, seeing you in trouble and deciding not to help you." How do you see that distinction, Lauren?

LAUREN COHAN: I just wanted to kill him. I wanted to kill him. I wanted Maggie to shoot him. In fact, I wanted that, she wanted that, and then she didn't do it — that's why I thought, well, she's always wanted to overcome the anger of this animal. There's a little clue like " I have to keep it alive." I must maintain this respect for life. Jeff is also great because, as I watch this episode, I think, "S--, I understand why Negan is so scared of her, and this could happen." ”

So does that excuse him for his actions?

At the moment when he left Maggie dead, you should hate him. Then when he said, "She just said she was going to kill me." What would you do? It's like, everyone in the world who is still alive is very cunning. You know what I mean? You have to tiptoe and live a little longer. You just have to keep yourself alive. You have to adjust. You have to keep adjusting.

At every crucial moment, Negan did what he thought would last longer. I don't know who I am right now, Maggie or Lauren, but it's like, we're forced to leave him there. She said he knew the city, and so on. But it's not just because he knows the city. Like, if I kill him, once you cross that line, you can't go back.

So how does that help her decide how to handle Negan's advances?

If he could help them with their mission to the Meridian and return, so that Alessandria and her own children's people could hope for another five days of progress in this crazy desert, it would be all right. And then any other feelings she has about Negan, it doesn't matter, because it's important to recognize when you have something good and you need to protect it.

I'm glad it clarified that for her. After seeing all these terrible things, the point is not, oh, we're going to tell this terrible ghost story. Sometimes you need to lose almost everything. And in The Walking Dead, if the characters don't constantly remind each other of what might happen, what are they doing?
