Foreign media VGC revealed today that Lego is working with 2K to develop a new LEGO sports game series. According to people familiar with the matter, the new cooperation involves multiple types of games, as follows:
· A LEGO rugby game produced by Sumo Digital, developer of Azabuzai Adventure
· A LEGO open world racing game produced by WWE 2K22 developer Visual Concepts
· A third game is also under development and will be based on a major sporting event
2K is said to want to expand its audience for sports games, believing that a younger generation of players is the way to achieve this goal, and LEGO is an ideal partner. Some of the above LEGO games may contain some cameo characters, such as those from Marvel, DC, and Harry Potter.
