Today, Every Thursday morning and every Friday afternoon, Chen Guifang sits in the pediatric department of Hainan Provincial Women and Children's Medical Center (Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital). Over the years, she has been on time, treating every child equally, lovingly and patiently. When encountering some children with complicated conditions, Chen Guifang will take the initiative to tell the parents of the children's phone numbers, and also leave the parents' phone numbers, and advise the parents to observe the child's mental state and behavior, and if there is any abnormality, call her in time to give guidance.
Recently, a 3-year-old little girl, suffering from allergic cough, went to See Chen Guifang more than half a month ago, and her condition improved after taking medicine. After half a month of follow-up consultation, Chen Guifang suggested continuing to take the medicine and observing. But the child's father felt that he had taken the medicine well before and was worried that the drug had side effects and did not want to take the medicine to the child again. Chen Guifang patiently explained that because the child had an allergic cough that dragged on for too long, he was worried about the recurrence of the disease after stopping the drug, and the follow-up medication was to consolidate the efficacy. After the treatment, the parents of the child returned to the consultation room 7 times to inquire about medication and some doubts. But Chen Guifang understood the confusion and concerns of parents, and used professional knowledge and patient explanations to convince parents.

In her daily work, Chen Guifang has become a role model for outpatient emergency medical staff, thinking about the health of the children. In life, Chen Guifang treats them as family, sending rice dumplings to medical staff during the Dragon Boat Festival, sending mooncakes to everyone during the Mid-Autumn Festival, and preparing New Year goods for everyone in the New Year.

For this future, Chen Guifang has guarded from the past to the present, and for 64 years, colleagues around her have come and gone, but she has never taken off her white coat.
In fact, Chen Guifang has been fighting against the disease all these years. In 2006, 74-year-old Chen Guifang was diagnosed with breast cancer, and colleagues were worried about her, but she looked very open, "Cancer can not be cured in a day, the day must continue." Next, she underwent 6 rounds of chemotherapy and 32 rounds of radiation therapy, slowly recovered her health, and still insists on treating the children.
Time flies, and the original intention does not change. Chen Guifang has treated countless children, and even three generations of grandchildren have been her children, and everyone affectionately calls her "Grandma Doctor". On October 22, 2020, at the 25th National Pediatric Academic Conference of the Chinese Medical Association, Chen Guifang, a pediatrician at the Hainan Women's and Children's Medical Center, won the title of "The Eighth Chinese Pediatric Lifetime Achievement Physician".
