In Wuxian County, glazed tile firing techniques are mainly distributed in the villages of Zhao Lou, Luzhuang and Shuiquan in Anliang Town. Among them, there is a traditional architectural tile firing family, which continues to write the charm of ancient Chinese architectural art.
Walking into the workshop of the Zhao Lou Jinhai horse glazed tile factory in Anliang Town, Wuxian County, a master craftsman is carefully inspecting the glazed tile works that have been formed and waiting to be glazed. At work is Master Zhao Zhihong, who is carrying out a step in the firing of glazed tiles. The floor of the workshop is full of clay sculptures made by Master Zhao and his apprentices waiting to be dried, including cylinder tiles, plate tile dripping, kisses, treasure bottles, etc. The yellow glazed cylinder tiles, which have been fired and are waiting to be shipped, resemble half-sided bamboo, are neatly stacked in the courtyard of the Jinhaima Glazed Tile Factory, shining gold in the sun.
Born in 1975, Zhao Zhihong, under the oral teaching of his father and the inheritance of hand-in-hand, studied hard and studied diligently, and after graduating from high school in 1992, he founded the Jinhaima Glazed Tile Factory in Wuxian County as the director of the factory, and engaged in the study, research, production, inheritance, exchange and publicity of the firing techniques of glazed tiles so far. On the basis of inheriting the skills of his father, Zhao Zhihong has formed his own unique technical characteristics after years of exploration and practice. Through the excavation of history and culture, the firing of tile products from different historical dynasties since the Qin and Han dynasties has been sold throughout the country, which has contributed to the promotion of the traditional architectural culture of the mainland.
In order to let this "intangible cultural heritage" enter everyone's life, Zhao Zhihong established a glazed tile firing technology exhibition hall and a training center, and in this way, the glazed tile firing technology with a long history was fully presented in the form of documents and objects. With this idea in mind, Zhao Zhihong re-employed the old glass craftsmen to bring new people by hand; and cooperated with major colleges and universities to attract young talents in a targeted manner, paving the way for the long-term development of the enterprise. At the same time, in cooperation with universities and colleges, seminars are held every year to study production techniques, academic exchanges are carried out, and holidays, heritage days and agricultural leisure time are used to hold heritage training and publicity and display activities in the campus and into the community, so that more people can understand this intangible cultural heritage skill.
At present, the tile factory has benefited more than 50 trainees, driven the surrounding labor force to employ more than 200 people, inherited more than 80 varieties of more than 30 types of traditional tile firing techniques, obtained 2 national patents, and the glazed tiles used to be used by the government are turning around from kiln fire and soil, flying into the homes of the people through the model of "non-genetic + inheritance".
Looking forward to the future, Zhao Zhihong is full of hope and confidence. "The art of glazed tile firing has been passed down in our family for six generations and has a history of more than 100 years, and I am honored to be named the representative inheritor of provincial intangible cultural heritage this time. As a fifth-generation inheritor, I will continue to pass on this skill from generation to generation. Zhao Zhihong said.
