They believe that paper-cutting is a folk art and should be passed on for publicity.
When Li Yuezhen lived in Guo Xiumei, her sister who taught at Northwest University, she laid out her paper-cut works on the ground without any trouble, which attracted the attention of many people, and a young man with a very cultural background collected each of her paper-cut samples. The leader of the art department of a university in Xi'an invited her mother to give a lecture to the students, and also held an exhibition of Li Yuezhen's paper-cutting.
Li Yuezhen is now 98 years old, the femoral head of the left leg and the right leg have been fractured, and although it is inconvenient to walk, she still insists on cutting paper. Although he is older and his works are not as elaborate as before, they are still very popular.
