People's Daily Qingdao, October 13, 2013 On the morning of October 13, as an important part of the 2021 Intelligent Audiovisual Conference, the China Film Criticism Summit Forum was held at the Hongdao International Convention and Exhibition Center in Qingdao High-tech Zone. You Xiaogang, president of the China Television Drama Production Industry Association and a national-level director, delivered a keynote speech, in which he suggested that in the process of rectifying the literary and art circles, it is possible to get to the root of the source and the style to be clean, so that all kinds of literary and artistic forms of works can be raised to a new height.

You Xiaogang said that for a long time, our film reviews have been disturbed to some extent by some evaluation systems established by capital, especially about data, which is actually a very strange thing. We should treat data as a public resource, and regulation of data needs to be strengthened.

You Xiaogang believes that any art category that wants to move forward and improve must stand on the shoulders of critics. For a long time, film criticism has become just a contest of data, or the commercial promotion of works, which is strictly speaking a big mistake. What we want to build in 2035 is a cultural power, not a big entertainment consumer.

You Xiaogang said that the situation of creation has improved in recent years, returning to the road of art and returning to the right path, which is the achievement we should see. The quality and popularity of films launched for major festivals have improved tremendously compared to the past, a sign that reviews are regaining the dignity they deserve.
