At the HICOOL 2021 Global Entrepreneur Summit that opened today, Yang Bing, CEO of Ant Independent Database Company OceanBase Database, believes that the native distributed database subverts the traditional database centralized technology architecture, and innovatively adopts a new generation of distributed processing technology, which can greatly reduce the database cost of enterprises. In the near future, entrepreneurship will enter the era of "native distribution".

For this view, Yang Bing gave two reasons.

First, in the face of massive data growth, enterprises often use sub-database tables and middleware to achieve unified management of data, which is a huge burden for small and medium-sized enterprises, and the native distributed database can realize "a company only uses one database" without middleware.

He gave a set of numbers, "1TB for an Internet company, only supports 300,000 users to do one interaction a day." For the database, if the enterprise uses MySQL, when the amount of data exceeds 1TB, it is necessary to carry out sub-database sub-table, unified scheduling through middleware, and sub-database sub-table and middleware are high-difficult technologies for entrepreneurs, for a start-up company, the technical threshold will increase exponentially, and the cost of enterprises will also rise exponentially. "Native distributed databases, no longer rely on middleware development, leave the complexity to the database, and leave the simplicity to the application."

Second, the future will enter the world of the Internet of Everything, data will grow explosively, and traditional centralized databases will face great challenges. The native distributed database adopts distributed processing technology, which can easily cope with petabytes or even petabytes of data. Alipay uses the OceanBase database 100%. In 2019, OceanBase topped the "TPC-C" test of the world's most credible online transaction processing database with a performance record of 707 million tpmC, proving its performance.

At today's HICOOL 2021 Global Entrepreneur Summit, Yang Bing officially announced the "Creation Plan". The "Chuang Plan" aims to solve the technical pain points of the SME database through the "full service fee", and the first phase of the "full service fee" benefit is open to 100 small and medium-sized enterprises. Free service items include: technical consultation, talent training, data migration and other full-link technical services.

OceanBase database is derived from ants, has been full-scenario application in Alipay, and has been exporting technical services from the outside world since 2017, and has been applied in domestic finance, transportation, railway, aerospace and other fields. In June, OceanBase announced that it had open-sourced 3 million lines of core code under the Mulan license agreement, offering a free software version. The announcement of the "Creation Plan" is a sign that OceanBase continues to export database capabilities to small and medium-sized enterprises.

Yang Bing said, "The first phase chose to serve 100 enterprises for free, hoping to summarize a set of templates for technical services for small and medium-sized enterprises through these 100 samples, so as to better serve more small and medium-sized enterprises in the next two phases and three phases of the plan."
