In 1955, Chen Zhaodi was born in Hangzhou, and in 1976, he was selected into the women's volleyball national team coached by Yuan Weimin, serving as the second pass and receiver, becoming the core member of the Chinese women's volleyball team to rush out of Asia and go to the world.

As the first member of the old women's volleyball team and the main recipient of the Chinese women's volleyball team during the "five consecutive championships", Chen Zhaodi, who has a stubborn personality, trained the hardest in the team and was particularly able to endure hardships. In June 1979, during a match against Japan, Chen Zhaodi broke his radius. When he returned to the People's Liberation Army to compete in the Fourth National Games two months later, Chen Zhaodi hung his left arm with a bandage, went to battle with an injury, and competed with one hand, thus gaining the reputation of "one-armed general".

After leaving the Chinese women's volleyball team, Chen Zhaodi has successively served as the head coach of the Bayi women's volleyball team, the head coach of the national youth team women's volleyball team and the leader of the Chinese women's volleyball team, and has achieved outstanding results. In July 2006, she was awarded the rank of major general, becoming the first female general in sports.

During the fight against SARS in 2003, Chen Wei and members of the research group entered the biosafety laboratory overnight, often working in the laboratory for more than a dozen or even dozens of hours. A few months later, the "recombinant human interferon omega" developed by the team has a good protective effect on the attack of the SARS virus.

In 2014, there was a large-scale Ebola outbreak in West Africa. Chen Wei, who led the team to Africa, said: "Ebola is only one flight away from China. In December of the same year, Chen Wei's team developed the world's first 2014 genotype Ebola vaccine, achieving a breakthrough of "zero" overseas clinical trials of China's independently developed vaccines.

On January 26 last year, the fourth day of Wuhan's closure of the passage from Han, Chen Wei led a team of military medical experts to rush to Wuhan. On February 29, Chen Wei was the first to receive the adenovirus vector new crown vaccine, "If you dare not use it, how to recruit volunteers to do clinical research?" After vaccination, Chen Wei's team took intensive blood collections from themselves to observe when an immune response occurred, with the aim of drawing less blood from the volunteers.

On March 16, the vaccine developed by Chen Wei's team became the first new coronavirus vaccine in China to enter the clinical research stage. On August 11, the vaccine was granted a national patent, becoming the first COVID-19 vaccine in China to enter the clinic and obtain a patent.

In September 2020, at the National Commendation Conference for Fighting COVID-19, Chen Wei was awarded the national honorary title of "People's Hero".

Hang Lanying: A good branch book loved by the people

Ordinary people can also accomplish extraordinary things. Hang Lanying, general secretary of the party branch of Zhuwen Village, Songxia Street, Shangyu District, Shaoxing City, has led all the villagers to start from small things and build Zhuwen Village into a clean, civilized and harmonious new countryside.

Hang Lanying, born in 1949, is a native of Shangyu, Shaoxing. In the past, Zhuwen Village's village-level economy was weak, the team was weak and scattered, and the village management was disorderly. In order to change the backward appearance of the village, Hang Lanying, a 37-year-old "barefoot doctor" and director of the village women, stood up and, with the support of everyone, was elected as the secretary of the village party branch with a high vote.

The office building of the Zhuwen Village Committee is not air-conditioned. Hang Lanying believes that village cadres cannot sit in offices, and installing air conditioning is a waste. Since taking office in 1986, Hang Lanying has worked together with village cadres and villagers like a "spring swallow" with a mud nest to make a fundamental change in Zhuwen Village. Starting from improving infrastructure, promoting the construction of standard farmland, and taking the initiative to take the lead in helping the people in difficulty... Hang Lanying has gnawed down one "hard bone" after another, and Zhuwen Village has also become a well-known demonstration village.

Since she was in office, Hang Lanying has never reimbursed 1 cent to the village: she usually pays for dinner in the village; in 2005, she used the 5,000 yuan bonus of the "Work Innovation Award" she won for the village's river masonry; when the village office was changed from a stone house to a flat house, she "embezzled" a large cart of wood that she was preparing to build a house... Over the years, Hang Lanying has donated more than 500,000 yuan to the village, far exceeding her salary income.

With the spirit of daring to take responsibility and being good at taking responsibility, Hang Lanying led the cadres and masses of the whole village to promote the construction of new rural areas into a better situation, and realized the transformation from the "able people ruling the village" that simply guided the peasants to get rich in the past to the "sage ruling the village" model of comprehensive governance.
