Bu Lingjun: This painting was born from Mr. Li Keyan's "Layers of Forest Dyeing". The original red revolution is very symbolic, is its representative work, I have copied many times, some experience. There are also many red-themed paintings in the painting and calligraphy market, which are also known as imitations of Mr. Dyeable, but there are either insufficient red and insufficient momentum; or red is more and floating, and vulgar; or insufficient layers, bloody. I paint this painting, there is a shadow of Mr. Dye, but also have their own play, although full of red, but the layers are clear, far and near the gallery; thick ink base, against the red of the sand, making the red strong and subtle. It is not only in line with the traditional and restrained character of Chinese, but also in line with the publicity of the current prosperity and prosperity, with a strong decorative meaning, and it can also be regarded as an attempt to integrate. Named after "Shanshui Hongyun", daya is also seen in the great customs. Bu Lingjun: Good question! Today is a heavy snow, this problem is very appropriate. In the summer of 2020, with a few friends from Yunnan to Shangri-La Meili Snow Mountain tourism, all the way snow, friends excited no, I am a northerner, but also not strange; at night to the village of the Snow Mountain Observation Deck, heavy rain pouring, everyone is very disappointed, thinking that tomorrow morning will not see the Sunshine Jinshan; the next morning, the thick fog, a few friends desperate even get up bed. Unexpectedly, when the sun rose, the fog suddenly disappeared, and the morning light shone on the top of Meili Snow Mountain, and the snow reflected a shining golden yellow against the background of the muddy mountain and the dark sky. A feeling that makes you convinced and worship gushes out, and an experience of life that has never been experienced before flows in the heart. I didn't shout like the others, silently remembering the saying in "Zhuangzi On Earthly World" that I cared about Zhai and replied: "Dare to ask the heart." Jonny said, "If one is determined, he who hears with his ears and hears with his heart; he who hears with his heart and hears with his breath without hearing." Bu Lingjun: Landscape painting is almost the latest time for Chinese painting to become an independent genre, but it is still the most important genre. There is also a problem of empathy that I just talked about. More than two thousand years ago, Kong Sheng said, "Those who know enjoy water, and those who are benevolent enjoy mountains." Those who know move, and those who are benevolent are quiet. The knower is happy, the benevolent is the life. This sentence is well known to women and children, which laid the theoretical foundation and emotional preparation for the emergence and development of landscape painting in later generations. So Chinese like landscape painting is almost something that comes naturally in my bones, and I am certainly no exception.
From the perspective of artistic concepts, the five elements of Yin and Yang of Taiji are the source of the criteria for judging the art of a successful Chinese painting. Like sheikh's six laws and Chinese medicine's hopes and smells, it seems that the wind and horses are not in harmony, but as long as they are carefully tasted, they are of the same origin. For example, Wang Ximeng's "Painting of a Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" is more like a picture of the worship of a group of courtiers, and the highest peak symbolizes Song Huizong; other peaks are like courtiers; and with stones, houses, and trees as the support, water and clouds as the envoys, the kings and subjects gather together, and each performs his duties, in an orderly manner. This is the ideal portrayal of ancient Confucian society. Therefore, copying ancient paintings is not a simple study of the method or composition, but to empathize with the ancients.
For example, this Fan Kuan's "Journey to The Stream and Mountains" that I came to is a representative work of landscape painting in the Northern Song Dynasty. Looking at this painting, I often think of Yan Lugong. It felt like he was sitting on the Taishi chair, watching the world from side to side. Awe-inspiring and upright, not angry and arrogant, Xiao Xiao's younger generation, do not dare to invade. This in itself has the simple hope of the common people that the world will be peaceful.
Another example is this Southern Song Dynasty Ma Yuan's "Treading Song Map" that I copied. Ma Yuan is good at using an axe to split, it is very strange that the Southern Song Dynasty is partial to the south, this Jinge iron horse style painting method can be accepted, probably because there is a heart to kill the enemy and can not, rely on painting it. This painting shows several people who have just participated in the social fire, drunkenly walking home with songs. It is said that the archetypal figure of the leader is Song Ningzong. The warm wind smoked tourists drunk, straight to Hangzhou as a beizhou. When you copy it, you have to feel this feeling. I have more ancient paintings, and almost all the masterpieces of famous landscape artists in the past have been practiced. In addition to techniques, I also want to find the expression of their emotions, such as the dispersion of Huang Gongwang, the coldness of Ni Zhan, the seclusion of the Bada Shanren, the strangeness of Shi Tao, and the breakthroughs of painting techniques in previous dynasties, all of which are in the context of the times, and the change of personal mental journey has led to the change of painting style. The so-called drawing on the ancient and the new, of course, we must deeply study the excellent works of ancient times, as for the new, Shi Tao has words, pen and ink should be contemporary, and the focus of this is a random word. In fact, you don't need to think about innovation every day, the times are changing, in this era, you will unconsciously complete innovation, the so-called fa gui natural, this is the reason. Some people in the name of innovation, innovation every day, never learn from the ancient or not enough, then the innovation is garbage.
As for why you see less works created, it is because you can't keep it in your hand, and if you paint one or sell it or give it away. Only the works that I copied myself, I can't bear it, and I keep it as a souvenir.
Q: Listening to Jun's words, I seem to understand. The so-called commodity paintings circulating in the market, jianghu paintings, the gap between them and works of art, may be in this love word!
Bu Lingjun: You summed it up very well. Jianghu painting or commodity painting is not ruthless, it may be more of a brotherly feeling of Kong Fang. Collecting or hanging such paintings, in addition to lowering their own art level, but also making their homes smell of copper, if the family is talking about money, it is not a wonderful thing.
