Located in Xiamen, Fujian Province, Nanputuo Temple was founded in the Tang Dynasty and is one of the Buddhist resorts in southern Fujian. The temple sits on the north and faces the south, built according to the mountain and the sea, and the Hall of the Heavenly King, the Hall of The Great Treasure and the Hall of Great Compassion are exquisitely built and majestic, and each hall is dedicated to Maitreya and the Three Noble Buddhas.
The Tibetan Scripture Cabinet treasures a variety of Buddhist cultural relics, and the blood book "Miaofa Lotus Sutra" in the Ming Dynasty and the famous white porcelain Guanyin of He Chaozong are the most valuable. There are many inscriptions around the temple, including the famous Ming Wanli Chen Di, Shen Yourong inscription stone carvings and Qing Qianlong imperial steles. The cliff behind the temple is carved with the word "Buddha", which is four feet high and one foot wide. Behind the temple, the five old lingxiao stands, the pine bamboo is lush, the rocks are beautiful, and it is one of the eight scenic spots in Xiamen.
