Good evening to all book lovers, welcome to the reading column "Encounter" produced by Fan Deng Reading.

Some writers have been selling well for decades, while Dumas has been selling well for more than 200 years.

Some books were loved by the people, and The Count of Monte Cristo swept the world.

Today I would like to share with you the classic work of the French writer Alexandre Dumas - "The Count of Monte Cristo".

Someone once asked, "Can what you lost come back?" ”

GaoZan replied:

"It's like I lost a button, and when I found that button, I had already changed into a new dress."

Life itself is a loss and a possession.

But as long as life is there, there is hope.

This truth is also well explained in the Count of Monte Cristo.

The novel was written by the French writer Alexandre Dumas and is known as the pinnacle of popular fiction.

A century and a half after its inception, it still attracts millions of readers around the world and is translated into hundreds of languages.

The story takes place in 19th-century France, where a sailor named Dontés, commissioned by the captain to deliver a letter to the Napoleonics, is framed by two villains.

Dantese was imprisoned in a black prison for 14 years, but by chance he was able to escape, and when he returned, he assumed the name of the Count of Monte Cristo and began to punish evil and promote good.

In the twists and turns of the story, the beauty and ugliness of the human heart, the good and evil in human nature are vividly expressed.

As the saying goes, good and evil will eventually be rewarded, and the heavens are good for reincarnation. Fate will not spare anyone, nor will it fail anyone.

All losses will come back in another way.

The Count of Monte Cristo: All losses come back in another way

Don't underestimate human nature, don't overestimate the human heart

Dontés was first mate on a ship called the King of Egypt.

He was young, kind, energetic, warm and humble, loved by the crew, and admired by the ship's owner, Mr. Morel.

After the death of the old captain due to illness, the ship's owner, Mr. Morel, decided to make Dontés the "acting captain".

Hearing that dontés would be captain caused the ship's accountant, TangGra, to be jealous and dissatisfied with Dontés.

Tanggra is narrow-minded, has a cold eye, and always likes to hide in the shadows to spy on others.

He waited for the opportunity to find Dontese's handle, to frame him, and then to take his place.

On the way, he found that the old captain had entrusted Dontés with a letter to a marshal before his death.

This made Tang Gera move "mind". He decided to start with the letter and implement his own "plan".

So he wrote an anonymous whistleblower letter.

In his letter, he framed Dontés as a Napoleonic party member. This was seen as a very serious crime for the restored Bourbon monarchs at the time.

Not only that, in order to avoid acquaintances recognizing his pen body, he also deliberately wrote letters with his left hand.

It was because of his letter that Dontese was innocently arrested and imprisoned.

As the saying goes, people's hearts are unpredictable, and people's hearts are difficult to defend.

People, seemingly the same, but the heart is different; the heart, seemingly synchronized, but the heart is unpredictable.

Just like another person who framed Dontese.

His name was Fernand, and he was a fisherman and cousin of Dontés's fiancée.

Fernanben and Dontés have no vendetta. However, when he confessed to Dontés's fiancée and was rejected, he began to hate Dontés.

When Tanggra found out, he decisively used Fernand. He borrowed Fernan's hand and mailed the letter to the prosecutor.

In the end, the unknown Dontese was taken away by the police officer at the engagement party.

Keigo Higashino has a sentence in "White Night":

"There are two things in the world that cannot be looked at directly, one is the sun and the other is the human heart."

One thought of heaven, one thought of hell.

It is difficult to distinguish between true and false in the human heart; human nature is very complex, and good and evil are only in one thought.

We never know whether we are around a trustworthy person or a wolf in sheep's clothing.

The soul of a person who has evil thoughts is pulled by the rope of fate and eventually embarks on the path of evil.

And those who have good thoughts in their hearts radiate the brilliance of humanity, walk by the light, and flow with goodness and warmth.

To be born as a human being, we must have more good thoughts and less malice.

The Count of Monte Cristo: All losses come back in another way

Born to the sun, there is hope in life

Dontese was imprisoned on an isolated island.

He couldn't have dreamed that he would end up in such a mess.

A few days ago, he was living the life of a free sailor, admiring the vast expanse of the sea and sky.

He is about to marry his beloved girl, and he can immediately become a captain and have a bright future.

And now, he is in prison, facing a dark cell, losing his freedom.

I don't know if my beloved girl still loves me, and I don't know if my old father is dead or alive.

In desperation, he began to curse loudly, hit his head against the wall, and even began a hunger strike.

Just when Dontese wanted to die, he met the old priest Faria.

Faria was erudite and taught Dontés about astronomical geography, language, mathematics, etc., and mastered five foreign languages.

Not only that, but through the priest's analysis, he understood who had framed him for everything he had suffered.

A flame of revenge burned in Dontese's heart.

He and Father Faria had wanted to escape from prison together, but unfortunately the priest died of illness on the way to the plan.

Before dying, the priest told Dontés a great secret that there was a huge treasure on the island of Monte Cristo.

In his days with the priest, Dontese learned a lot from the priest, and the accumulation of knowledge made him wise, and he also learned to be strong and patient.

Driven by a strong desire to survive, Dontese slipped into the sack where the priest's body was stored, deceived the guards, and was thrown into the sea to regain his life.

Fourteen years of innocent injustice turned into a sentence in his heart: "We must live, and there is hope in life."

Through the darkness before dawn, Dontese was desperate and ushered in the dawn.

Many people saw their own shadow in DonTaisi.

In real life, everyone will face many trials.

The unemployed are in deep economic difficulties; the sick are facing a health crisis; and the students are under the weight of examinations.

However, as long as you live and are not afraid of hardships, you can live to the sun.

There are no desperate situations in the world, only people who are desperate for their situations.

A writer once said:

Waking up every morning and finding yourself alive is a very happy thing.

Because as long as you live, everything will come in time; only by living can you have a future and hope.

All losses will come back in another way

Dantés, who escaped from the day of his birth, followed the instructions of the old priest before his death, came to Monte Cristo Island to find the treasure and became a rich man.

Returning to Paris, he discovers that his old father has died of illness and that his fiancée has married Fernand and given birth to a child.

He was not in a hurry to take revenge, but assumed the name of the Count of Monte Cristo, and began to investigate carefully and plan carefully.

After fourteen years of imprisonment and the careful teaching of Elder Faria, Dontaisi, who has returned again, has changed into a person.

He first had to repay the benefactor.

At this time, Mr. Morel, the old owner of The Dantese, was on the verge of bankruptcy because of the company's successive misfortunes.

Dontese intervened in time to make up for the huge arrears and help the former benefactor solve the crisis.

He also used his wisdom to save the life of the shipowner's son and his beloved girl, and fulfilled the happiness of a good man and a woman.

Then he began to punish his enemies.

For Tanggra, Dontese designed to get him to sell the bonds, causing him to suffer heavy losses.

Desperate, Tanggra, who stole 5.05 million francs from the poverty-stricken institutions, fled to Italy and was caught and tortured by Dontés' robber friends.

When Tanggra ran out of money and was extremely weak, the Count of Monte Cristo appeared as Dontés, frightening Tanggra's soul.

For Fernand, Dontés used the power of the media to disclose in the newspaper the fact that Fernan had betrayed and killed Governor Ali in Greece.

Heidi, the daughter of the governor whom he had adopted, testified in court, which discredited Fernand.

Fernan's wife and children left him, and the desperate Fernan shot himself.

After the completion of the "revenge" plan, Dontese and Heidi finally became a family.

Dontés has suffered and experienced countless times of late-night helplessness; all thoughts have been gray, and he has felt the coldness of people's hearts and the evil of human nature.

Today, wealth, friendship, love, affection, everything that was once owned and lost, is returned in a better way.

Justice may be late, but it is never absent.

There is a passage in the book that is very intriguing.

"Only those who have experienced suffering and despair can appreciate the preciousness of happiness.

Until the day comes when God reveals a better future to mankind, the whole wisdom of mankind can be summed up in the following words: waiting and hope. ”

After suffering, there is rebirth.

After waiting and hope, all the loss will come back to us in another way.

The Count of Monte Cristo: All losses come back in another way

Write at the end

Borges once said:

"All literature is about one thing, and that's how hard life is."

"The Count of Monte Cristo" not only tells about the suffering of life, but also allows us to understand the ugliness of human nature, understand that good and evil are reincarnations, and that everything has cause and effect.

Life is a sea of seas, mountains and rivers.

Everyone and every dilemma you encounter in life is for you to complete a life practice.

Although everyone is in their own world, suffering from pain of one kind or another.

However, it is in the process of bearing losses again and again that people grow into a strong self little by little.

Only by adhering to the original heart, having hope in our hearts, and forging ahead can we see the clouds and look up at the sky.

As Dostoevsky said, "Tomorrow and we must be worthy of today's suffering." ”

Believe that all loss will come back in another way.

Click "watching", may we not be disappointed in the difficult situation, Taoguang and obscurity, can resist the unexpected wind and snow.
